Accordingly, The City is seeking to contract with a qualified Engineering Firm registered to practice in the State of Texas to A) prepare certain application material necessary for application submission to the Texas Department of Agriculture for the 2021-2022 TxCDBG Program and B) {Contingent upon funding availability from TDA} Provision of engineering services associated with project implementation including all preliminary and final design plans and specifications, and to conduct all necessary interim and final inspections. These services are being solicited to assist the City in its application preparation and project implementation of a TxCDBG contract, if awarded, to support water and/or sewer system improvements in the City of Adrian. A copy of the Request for Proposal for Services may be obtained from the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, P.O. Box 9257, Amarillo, Texas 79105, ATTN: Paige Witthar, (806) 372-3381. News from Vega FFA: September Recap On September 10th, Vega FFA hosted a kickoff party for Vega FFA members. We had a cornhole tournament and lots of Chick-fil-A. Congratulations to Casen and Braden Brorman for winning the tournament! Last week, we attended an Amarillo District Meeting at Canyon. We ate a meal, attended leadership workshops, and discussed new business. This past weekend the Vega FFA Ag Mechanics team competed at the Tri-State Fair with projects that were built last year. These are the results: Ty Gouldy, Riley & Brady Tiemann, Kyler Conatser, and Armando Trujillo placed third with their Welding Trailer. Braden Lancaster and Pablo Lopez placed third with their Shop Table. Nash Fowler placed first with his Chess Table. Maigyn Ellis placed first with her Barbecue Pit. Trypp Busby placed first with his Pickup Bed. Coy and Brooklyn Fowler placed first with their Dump Trailer, as well as winning Reserve Grand Champion Overall. Conner, Braden, Casen Brorman, and Maci Hartsell placed first with their Seed Tender Trailer, as well as winning Grand Champion Overall. Vega FFA was also the Sweepstakes winner. Congratulations to all who competed at the Tri-State Fair! Conner Brorman and Ashleigh Carlson received their Lone Star FFA Degree this week. This is the highest degree they can receive at the state level. They were awarded this at the 2020 Texas FFA State Convention, but they received their diploma and pin this week because the convention was virtual. Congratulations to Conner and Ashleigh!
