She is survived by four daughters: Edith Southers, Barbara Gross, and Anna L. She was a homemaker and a foster parent for the Cabinet for Families and Children for 14 years. She was preceded in death by son: Anthony Wayne Trent; two sisters: Christine Risner and Olive Ballard; five brothers: Norman, Rodney, Claude, Langley and Lowell Flinchum; son-in-law: Adam Campbell and grandson-in-law Kevin Watts. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Opal Watts and widow of Ora Combs. She was a homemaker and member of Hunter Memorial Church, Lost Creek, Ky., Perry Co. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Jane Lyons Watts and the widow of Clyde Day. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters: Edith (Earl) Crase of Dayton, OH; Jeannie (Roy) Holbrook of Rousseau; Barbara (Jimmy) Gullett of Whick; eight grandchildren: Angie (Mike) Stewart of Troy, OH; Teresa (Norm) Metzer of Dayton, OH; Lisa Holbrook Miller of Lost Creek; Tyler Carpenter of Rousseau; Jennifer Lovins of Clayhole; Mary Gullett, Chrissy Gulllett and Sarah Gullett all of Whick; six great grandchildren: Drew Taylor of Troy, OH; Alex Morris of Fairbanks, AK; Sarah Metzger of Dayton, OH; Erin Metzger of Virgina Beach, VA; A.J. On behalf of mom and myself we would like to thank everyone who was in his final days there for Dad, Nim Henson Geriatric Center, Jackson Hospital, Hazard Health Rehab Center, Hospice, Rev. Jim Slush to my co-workers, and the best nurses who constantly was at dad’s side especially by best friend, Mechelle. I will always remember the love you’ve shown mom and dad, to Adna Mae Noble, dads angle on earth to my nephews, John Raymond who was dads pride, cousin Angie, Becky, Johnny, Bessie as dad suffered so hard in his final hours holding his hand it was time for him to go. He fought hard not to, but was tired, he said he loved his kids, wished he could change things that’s happened. Survivors include one son: Ron (Joy) Combs, Hazard, Ky.; one daughter: Connie (John) Watts, Lost Creek, Ky.; two grandchildren: Amanda Combs and Ryan Combs, both of Hazard, Ky.; seven brothers: Pat (late Martha Lou) Watts, Lexington, Ind.; Gene (Myrtle) Watts, Jackson, Ky.; Andy (Penny) Watts, Howard (Diane) Watts, David (Juanita) Watts, Albert (Kay) Watts, Ben (Michelle) Watts, all of Austin, Ind.; three sisters: Rosa Watts, Reva (John) Turner, Linda (Robert) Anderson, all of Austin, Ind.; two special nieces: Angie and Amy Bellamy; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband; parents; one son: Jeffrey Combs; and one brother: Herschel Watts.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Watts Funeral Home Chapel with ministers Densmore Goodson and Don Watts officiating. Burial followed in the Haddix Cemetery, Inc., Haddix, Ky., with Watts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Eugene Smith, David Fugate, Rock Campbell, Dennis Neace, Bob Crandall, Charles Watts, Fred Watts, Frank Jewell, Kenny Campbell, Dale Williams and Mike Campbell

LOGAN WELLSLogan Wells, age 74, of

Lebanon, Ky., passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 in Lexington, Ind. He was the son of the late George Dewey and Martha Francis Wells. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was a retired truck driver and attended Open Door Baptist Church at Deputy, Indiana.

Survivors include one son: Mark Wells, Bedford, Ky.; two daughters: Michelle (Dewayne) Rakes, Lebanon, Ky.; Melissa (Charles) Mattingly, Lebanon, Ky.; eight grandchildren; one brother: Albert (Mary Lou) Wells, Haddix, Ky.; two sisters: Golden Hannah and Effie Rose, both of Tiffin, Ohio.

Preceded in death by parents; three sisters: Gretchen Calfee, Laly Clark, and Obelia Spicer; three brothers: Raymond Wells, Andrew Watts and Hershel Watts.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Christian Church, Underwood, Ind., with Bro. Don Watts and Bro. Brad Enevoldsen officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery, Underwood, Ind., with Military Rite at gravesite.

Rousseau, KY, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Nim Henson Geriatric center. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Jane Lyons Watts and the widow of Clyde Day. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters: Edith (Earl) Crase of Dayton, OH; Jeannie (Roy) Holbrook of Rousseau; Barbara (Jimmy) Gullett of Whick; eight grandchildren: Angie (Mike) Stewart of Troy, OH; Teresa (Norm) Metzer of Dayton, OH; Lisa Holbrook Miller of Lost Creek; Tyler Carpenter of Rousseau; Jennifer Lovins of Clayhole; Mary Gullett, Chrissy Gulllett and Sarah Gullett all of Whick; six great grandchildren: Drew Taylor of Troy, OH; Alex Morris of Fairbanks, AK; Sarah Metzger of Dayton, OH; Erin Metzger of Virgina Beach, VA; A.J. Miller and Roy Walker Miller both of Lost Creek; two sisters: Esther Patrick of Jackson; Reva Hilderbrand of Manchester, OH and one brother, Langley Watts of CA.

Preceded in death by sisters: Ella Clemons, Ersie Watts, Dee LeMaster, Jackie Huckle and Mildred Johnson and two brothers: Lawrence and Chester Watts.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Hurley Smith Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Day Cemetery, Rousseau. Pallbearers were family and friends.

Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

On behalf of mom and myself we would like to thank everyone who was in his final days there for Dad, Nim Henson Geriatric Center, Jackson Hospital, Hazard Health Rehab Center, Hospice, Rev. Jim Slush to my co-workers, and the best nurses who constantly was at dad’s side especially by best friend, Mechelle. I will always remember the love you’ve shown mom and dad, to Adna Mae Noble, dads angle on earth to my nephews, John Raymond who was dads pride, cousin Angie, Becky, Johnny, Bessie as dad suffered so hard in his final hours holding his hand it was time for him to go. He fought hard not to, but was tired, he said he loved his kids, wished he could change things that’s happened.

Thanks to Ray Clemons for leading us all the way, Breathitt Funeral Home for helping put dads funeral like he wanted whom over the years have grown to be my family.
