Catering GuidelinesOur first-rate service relies on our ability to schedule appropriately. In order to better serve you, we request the following:

• All standard orders be placed at least 5 business days in advance. This helps guarantee that your request is fully accommodated. We are happy to provide customized menus to suit individual needs and budgets.

• Events that are requested or changed with less than 2 business days notice will incur a $25 late order/change fee, or a 20% additional charge, whichever is greater. Menu options may be limited.

• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice (2 business days) will be charged full price.

• The number of guests attending and/or food & beverage quantities must be confirmed with the Catering Director by 12:00 p.m. (two business days) prior to the function. This number will be considered a guarantee, not subject to reduction, and charges will be assessed accordingly. If no guarantee is received, the original number expected will be used as the guaranteed number of guests and food & beverage quantities.

• Service items (platters, coffee pots, decor etc.) that are missing from the scheduled catering pick up will be subject to additional charges.

• Please note that there is a $25.00 minimum charge for all orders.

• Customized food tastings are also available at an additional cost. Please contact the Catering Department to begin the planning process.

• Our menu pricing does not include sales tax. All orders will be subject to 9.5% Washington State Sales Tax.

Linen Services• Food & beverage pricing includes standard in-house table linens for food &

beverage tables. • Additional in-house linen tablecloths are available for $10 each. • A wide array of rental linen is also available at current market price. We are happy

to arrange this service for our customers.

China & Glassware Service• Food & beverage pricing includes disposable napkins, plates, cups, and flatware. • All disposable wares used by Bon Appétit are compostable and/or recyclable.• China and glassware service is also available at current market price. We are

Floral Arrangements• Floral arrangements are available at current market price. We are happy to

arrange this service for our customers.

Service Charges • All menu prices reflect buffet style service.• Full table service for plated meals is available for an additional $5.00 per guest,

plus applicable staff labor charges.• Staffing for evening (after 5:00 p.m.) & weekend events is required at a rate of

$25.00 per hour with a Three-hour minimum per server. The number of servers and hours necessary will depend on the type of service being requested as well as the number of anticipated guests.

Alcohol and Bar Service Guidelines• Standard bar set up is available for $3.00 per person and includes an assortment

of non-alcoholic beverages, disposable cups, cocktail napkins, ice, and the setup of beer and/or wine.

• Glassware is available at current market prices and we are happy to arrange this service for our customers.

• Bartenders are available for $25.00 per hour with a Three-hour minimum per bartender. A banquet permit must be purchased, as Bon Appétit staff members are prohibited by State Law from serving alcoholic beverages at events without posted temporary permits.

• Bon Appétit is pleased to provide wine and beer for your events. We look forward to assisting you in selecting and purchasing alcoholic beverages so that you can sit back and enjoy your event!

• Bon Appétit will purchase wine at market rate and handle all service aspects of beverage service, including storage, chilling, set up, and pouring. A corkage fee of $10/wine bottle ($2/beer bottle) will be charged for all bottles opened during

the event.

• Bon Appétit will purchase a Banquet Permit for client. This permit costs $10, will be billed to the Client, and must be posted near the bar to comply with Washington State Liquor Control Board regulations. Bon Appétit staff members are prohibited by State Law from serving alcoholic beverages at events without posted temporary permits.

• Unopened beer & wine must be picked up within 2 business days following the event or it will be discarded.

• Clients may purchase their own beer, wine, and banquet permits if they prefer.
