PAINTING ANIMALS in GOUACHE 6 wks Tues. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. July 12 -Aug. 16
$190($155 members); $105 groups of 4+ Ages 16+
An introduction to the medium of Gouache, an opaque form of watercolor. Paint applica-tion, brushstrokes, and techniques will be demonstrated in order to encourage students to develop their own style. Students will work from photographs and mounted animals and ex-ternal animal anatomy will be discussed. In-structor and painter Ric Conn studied at the Cor-coran College of Art and the Maryland Institute College of Art. He teaches regularly to stu-dents of all ages. PAINTING ANIMALS IN GOUACHE— ADVANCED
6 wks Tues. 1 p.m.– 3 p.m. July 12-Aug. 16 $155 $190 ($155 members); Ages 16+
This class begins with a brief review of skills from previous class. Compositional design, subject size and placement, color mixing, col-or application, matting and framing will all be covered. Students will explore various techniques for painting animals of various sizes and color patterns. Designed to increase technical and compositional skills, this class will aid students in their ability to recognize features necessary for realistic depiction of wildlife. Instructor Ric Conn. OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY ON DELMARVA
1 day Sat. 1-6 pm. July 30 $85 ($80 members); Ages 12+
Photographer Jay Fleming will share fine art photography techniques while revealing different subjects and locations unique to the Delmarva Peninsula. Students are encour-aged to bring in their own photographs for critique. Bring an SLR camera or a point and shoot. Jay’s award-winning photography showcases his passion for the outdoors and photography. The class will conclude with a field photo-shoot —transportation required. Register by 7/23
iPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS Sat., 10 a.m.– 1 p.m. June 25

most out of your iPhone’s camera? In this 3 hour workshop, you’ll learn camera tech-niques that are exclusive to iPhone photog-raphy, and find out which apps are best for image capture. You’ll also learn basic tips for editing and fine-tuning your photos di-rectly on your iPhone. Karen Klinedinst is a Baltimore-based landscape photographer. In this 3 hour workshop, you’ll learn how to edit, fine-tune and perfect your photos di-rectly on your iPhone or iPad. Plus you’ll study combinations of iOS apps that can transform your images into photo-based digital art. TAI CHI FOR DIABETES MANAGEMENT 4 Wks, Mon & Wed 10-11 am,
July 18-Aug. 10 $65($60 members) Ages 20-75 Tai Chi improves health through gentle flowing movements promoting inner balance and strength. This 2 session per week program is
designed for individuals who are interested in adding an-other piece to their manage-ment of diabetes. Gentle exer-cises with strong emphasis on mental relaxation which has shown to improve cellular up-
take and glucose metabolism, stabilization of glucose levels and, for many, have a positive impact on A1C levels when practiced regularly. Information and Policies
The QAC Arts Council (Council) may cancel a program for reasonable cause. Upon agreement by the instructor and students, we will utilize pictures of students for publicity, educational, or docu-mentary use.

Benefits of Membership: The majority of our classes are offered at a discounted cost to our Members. Membership support contributes to year-round programming of events and education-al opportunities. Yearly individual memberships are $25, a family membership is $35.
Registration and Materials Fees: There is a $5 non-refundable registration fee included in the tuition cost for all classes. Students are responsible for coming to class on the correct day and time without further notice. Missed classes will not be made up or credited. Some classes may be joined in progress; contact the Council for information on individual classes.
Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellation: Queen Anne's County Arts Council reserves the right to cancel any class due to under-subscription. Full refunds will be issued in the event of such a cancellation. Refunds: Students can request a refund if withdrawn by the registration deadline, less a 10% administrative fee. Submitting registration and payment implies acceptance of the policies stated in this brochure.
Weather: Class cancellations will be posted on our social media sites and students will receive email or phone notification from their instructor regarding cancellations and make-up class ar-rangements.
Individuals with Disabilities: QACAC welcomes the participation of patrons with disabilities. Reasonable ADA accommodations that patrons require to enjoy QACAC services, programs or activities should be requested at least two weeks in advance. To make these arrangements call 410.758.2520.

MOSAIC MURAL PROJECT & ARTS CAMP
Session I June 20- 24 Session II June 27– July 1 9am –3pm Cost /session $225. Ages 8 - 15
Artist Jen Wagner will create a 100 square foot exterior mosaic mural this summer in Downtown Centreville on the site of Callahan's Laundry, located at 117 East Water St. Participants will contribute to the design, and learn breaking, adhering and grouting tech-niques as they create the mural. Bring a bag lunch. Community members are invited to be a part of this project and can participate in a Community Work Day Saturday, June 25th from 8:30am - 12:30 pm in conjunction with the Cen-treville farmer's market. Other Work Days will be held as needed: Saturdays, July 9, 16, 23 and 30th of 2016 from 8:30am -12:30pm.
June 9, Shore Shakespeare—presents William Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by Shelagh Grasso. This most infamous of plays explores the darker side of the human soul as the title charac-ters confront ambition, prophecy, temptation, and murder. US 50 Exit 41 June 23, Chesapeake Sons—this dynamic duo brings a rejuvenating edge as well as class tight harmonies to country music. Citing influences like the Black Crowes, Chesapeake Sons have a unique and refreshing style. They can rock out on guitar with explosive crescendos but are still able to sing to the hearts of many with their vulnerable ballads.
