In 1969, Paisan’s was relocated to the basement of it’s sister restaurant, Porta Bella. From 1975 to 2006 Paisan’s was located in University Square. In 2006, we moved to our current location overlooking Lake Monona. Paisan’s has received numerous awards for its thin crust pizza. We take pride in the creation of every pizza with the freshest ingredients available. There is no skimping on our gourmet pizzas. We have our own special sausage recipe made by a Chicago butcher. Another favorite, the Garibaldi sandwich was introduced to Madison in 1957. The Garibaldi was billed as a revolutionary new sub sandwich named after Garibaldi, a revolutionary hero of Italy. Of course, who can come to Paisan’s and not have a Porta salad?
