Introduction Palestine Industrial Establishment for Automation & Electronic Control
(PALCO Control) established in 1998. At that time, it was working as a subsidiary of Palestine Engineering Company; with sister companies RealSoft, MobiSoft and Specialized Database Technologies, all comprising Palestine Engineering Company (PALCO).
The aim of PALCO Control was to produce a new lift control system based
on Microcontroller innovative technology. This was done in 1998. And the new system got the brand name Universal Intelligent Controller (UIC) for which we got a patent from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Jordan. The company continues in expanding its activities to include providing solutions in the field of automation based on PLC, Microcontroller, and PC. It provides workable solutions for applications that require developing tailored electronic control systems.

PALCO Control has “Automation & Instrumentation Section” provide complete solutions in this field.
PALCO Control now has 80% share of the local market in the lift control field, and it has markets in other countries like Syria, UAE, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
PALCO Control is ISO 9001:2008 certified company and its main product (UIC) was affixed with CE Mark. And this shows the commitment of its management to the highest level of quality and international standards.

• Automation PALCO Control has strong ties with major PLC manufacturers like
Schneider and Siemens and our target is to be a certified System Integrator with them. Besides, we are OEM Process for Schneider right now. Also we are the distributor for Vigor Electric Corp./Taiwan. For the Middle East area, Vigor is a major company in Taiwan specialized in producing PLC systems.

developed by our R&D engineers, based on the cutting edge microcontroller technology.
Its ease of commissioning and maintenance makes it suitable for new

This product is aimed at obtaining the best performance without
compromising the most demanding safety requirements under the most stringent circumstances.

• UIC Lift Control (Cont.) The System has been Installed in various regions since 1998 and proved to
sustain its functionality in the most hostile environment of extreme heat and humidity conditions.
A new version of the UIC is designed and produced which is based on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and contains modifications in software and hardware.

• CLC Lift Control CLC is a lift controller which is fully developed and designed by our R&D
engineers based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
CLC is a cost effective Lift Controller specially for lift installations in residential buildings, the product uses a PLC hardware that is imported either from Korea (LS) (PLC-L serves up to 6-storey buildings for collective selective) or from Taiwan (Vigor) (PLC-V serves up to 8-storey buildings for collective selective.)
The unique software which is built for this controller by PALCO CONTROL’s engineers had proven its powerfulness among many other PLC-based lift controllers.

It is designed based on ultra sonic level sensors that communicated via Serial bus with the operator dialog; which could be a simple PC with special software (developed by PALCO Control team ) to monitor and record tanks levels history.

Major Projects 1. Project name: SCADA System Rehabilitation for C-15 Project
Client: Jordan Water Company (MIYAHUNA LLC.) • Description
The C15 project consists of (10) Reservoirs, (6) Boosters, Wadi Al Seer East Pumping Station, Wadi Al Seer Spring and Dabouq Reservoir (Main SCADA Control Center), which are connected and exchange data between each other over GPRS communication network.
Complete design, procurement, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, start-up, training
and documentation of the entire SCADA and Communication systems. The SCADA system provided with one Control Center which has a wide range of data such as
water demand, available resources, water quality, energy consumption, failures, etc., stored for its further analysis. The Control Center provided overall control and monitoring for the Water supply and distribution network within its corresponding project and also provided a safe and remote access for the retrieval of information by the Greater Amman SCADA Project.

Major Projects 2. Project name: Updating of Water Supply System Existing Control System
Client: Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC).
• Description The system is water supply system for JPMC at Al Sheedia Mines, it consists of twenty one
wells, one deep well, water reservoirs and two pumping stations, which are connected and exchange data between each other over Radio telemetry system and controlled by PLC/SCADA system.
The distances between main Control Center and the other stations ranges from 2.6 Km up to 23.5 Km.
Complete design, programming, configuration, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, start-up, training and documentation of the entire PLC/SCADA and communication systems.
The SCADA system provided with a main Control Center and a Secondary Monitoring Center have a wide range of data such as water flow, available resources, energy consumption, failures, etc… , stored for its further analysis. The Control and Monitoring Centers provided overall control and monitoring for the Water Wells and Pumping Stations.

Major Projects 3. Project name: SCADA System Rehabilitation for Polish and Dimen system
Client: Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC)/Industrial Complex.
• Description Upgrading the control system in Polish and Demin units from the existing ones
(Modicon 984 PLC for units A, B, and C) to central redundant CPU system based on modern Quantum PLC from Schneider-Electric, and connect the new PLC system to SCADA system.

Client: Metal Industries Co. / Metalco
• Description To design a control system based on submitted process description from the
client, that included the control process for the Boiler, Condensation Tank (Aerator) and Fuel Tank, all of these units will communicate with PLC/SCADA system which will be used for Control and Monitoring of all the signals that will come from these units.

Major Projects 5. Project name: System Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and
Applications in the Middle East
Client: SESAME
• Description This system operates and controls the Microtron machine, which in turn
generates electrons in order to accelerate them later. Also, this system separates the device in the event of any danger or when certain signals are entered on the system.

Major Projects 6. Project name: Programming and PLC System Installation for Steam Piston
Client: ELZAY Ready Wear Manufacturing Company
• Description Steam piston is used to compress wears of different types and different times for
press according to the textile type and the final product. This piston is connected with PLC system. Production supervisor enters different programs on the display that is attached to the PLC system.

Client: Jordan Cement Factory – Al-Fuhais
• Description The control panel for will be used to control three blowers, mounted at RCP line.
The project included modifications of the existing PLC program to suite the blowers' addition to the system.
