Most major brand hardwood is actually “hand-scraped” by machines, not man,leaving wood with a pattern of uniform grooves.But every Palmetto Road board is unique inthat our artisans use a selection of 36 handinstruments to carve and distress each board.

While the majority of products on the marketoffer fixed widths of 5” or 6” boards, Palmetto Road Hardwoods is one of the only brandsto offer the fashionable look of variable-widthproducts like 4”/6”/8” and 3”/5”/7”, — a look coveted by designers and architects!

Lots of hardwood flooring brands thesedays deceptively claim their products are“hand-scraped” when they’re actuallyscraped by lightly-trained workers usingmachines. A discerning consumer caneasily tell the difference.
