VIRTUAL REMOTE GUIDANCE (VRG) AND AUGMENTED REALITY
14
• Hands-and-eyes remote support to service products
• Bring virtual support experts on-site by enabling real-time voice, video, and content sharing, via any android or iOS phone, tablet, or wearable technology
“REMOTE MENTOR” TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
• Train remote personnel and keep them current with the latest knowledge and expertise
• Technical skills of on-site staff will grow organically as they learn from remote product specialists and gain a world-class experience
REMOTE TRAINING
• Drive timely problem resolution by connecting any number of resources needed to solve the problem, from wherever they are
• Reduce travel and time delay it would take to get the right skills on-site
ESCALATION ASSISTANCE
• Guided installation assistance for new products
• Troubleshooting assistance for new equipment

STANDALONE FIELD HOSPITALS – REQUIREMENTS
Network Connectivity
• Establish ISP• Wireless Hotspot• LAN – IT
equipment connectivity & To all healthcare staff connected to this field hospital
• WAN – To establish connectivity to regional hospital
Infrastructure
• Reliable Power• Portable Backup
Power• Just sufficient
and reliable cooling environment
• Fire Suppression
Security
• Restricted Access• Rugged
operating conditions
• Network access• Device
Management and onboarding
Data Gathering
• Frontend Devices - Mobile, Laptop, Cameras and Scanners
• Medical Devices• Backend –
Central Data Storing and Handling appliance
• Remote Desktop capability for front end device connectivity.
Storage
• Backup Data Store for any peripheral data (scanners / recorders)
• Ports for Direct connectivity to Servers
• Backup Server to sync the data

INFRASTRUCTURE GOALS
18
Simple & Turnkey / Complete infrastructure
Reasonable Cost
Easily Deployable
• Transportable – Less than 100 kg
• Normal Household Power
• Only Fan Cooling
• Concurrently Maintainable
Scalable.
Secure
IOTConnectivity
ComputeStorage
COMPUTE / STORAGE
• Local compute will be needed to host the following applications as virtual machines:• Local workflow management and a cache to the central electronic
medical records system, in this case Cerner and AHLTA• Software to aggregate data from medical devices and provide a
dashboard as well as alerting and alarms, one VM per 100 patient beds
• 1 GB of data per patient bed per day (between 500MB – 1.5GB)• Potentially a small hyperconverged system may be used in this
scenario.

Applications & data on premises + cloud 21
High level simplified view for Smart Hospital/Clinic/WardAN END TO END DATA FABRIC PIPELINE
Data Science ToolchainsData Flow Design, Data Science Workbench, Model Management, Application Deployment
Business Systems
• Acquire events and data from sensors
• Queue, route and orchestrate data flow acrosssystems and geographies
• Cache and store data locally• Host and deploy container
based analytics• Apply rules and analytic
models
“Fast Data”Core Processing of data in motion
• Ingest event streams• Restructure and enrich
data in motion• Persist data for real time
usage and for offline analytics
• Apply rules and analyticmodels
Analytic Models
“Big Data”Analysis of data at rest
• Host a collocated data store for analytic data (data lake)
• Transform and restructure data for analysis
• Create aggregate data foranalytic systems
• Build rules and models using statistical and predictive analytics
• Prepare data for deep learning
“AI”Deep Learning/Machine Learning
• Train/build analytic models
• Test models
Applications & data on premises
• Understand core data requirements per patient bed and prepare a capacity model• Connectivity is critical. Prepare for multiple forms of remote connectivity• Security is critical. Protect endpoint devices, deployed infrastructure and data in motion• Leverage virtual remote guidance and augmented reality for medical personnel• Consider end to end data fabric for AI and analytics• Consider keeping raw telemetry for AI and analytics• Explore maturity and capabilities model (similar to EMRAM or INFRAM)• Assume field staff is not properly credentialed or trained• COVID-19 Publications Q&A• https://covid19.labs.hpe.com
