Panther Press December 19, 2014 Parent Survey - The Georgia Parent Survey is for the purpose of providing the state feedback about local schools. This survey contains 24 questions and is similar to a survey that students complete. A Spanish version of the parent survey will be available soon. Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. However, there is no mandatory participation rate for parents. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online . The survey link is http://apps.gadoe.org/schoolclimate/parents.nsf/Survey.xsp Thank you! Georgia Student Health Survey 2.0 There are two versions of the Georgia Student Health Survey (GSHS) 2.0. The first version is for middle and high school students (grades 6 – 12), and the second version is a short survey for elementary students (grades 3-5). At least 75% of students at each grade level (3-12) must participate in the GSHS 2.0 to be eligible for the School Climate Star Rating. Students at Riverwatch will complete the survey in January. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Track & Field season starts in February. Students will need to have a current physical on file with the school office. Physicals are good up to a year from date. Forms can be found on the school web site. For more information regarding Track & Field, please see the team web page.

Free Math Placement Testing Free SAT/ACT practice testing

Take advantage of our free testing for all grade-level math students at Ivy Bridge Academy, 3020 Old Atlanta Rd. Suite 600, Cumming. Dr. Selcuk Koyuci, Ph.D. in Mathematics, North Georgia University, will be conducting testing on Saturday, December 27th and January from 3:00 – 5:00 for Math placement and SAT/ACT practice tests. Please reserve a place for your student as soon as possible for one of these important dates. Contact Grace Webster, 770-712-2485 to reserve a spot for your student.

Pathways are similar to Connections classes, but unlike Connections,  high school students will take a year long course in the same pathway each year during high school. Choosing the right pathway is very important.  Please plan to attend the Lambert High School Pathway Information Night to learn more about these exciting courses and clubs.
