Importing users from Active Directory is as simple as:

• Install a client on one of your AD Domain Controllers.

• Login to PaperCut web interface a “Admin”.

• Go to “Options” then “User/Group Sync”.• Select “Active Directory” as your sync source.

• Click “Synchronize Now”.

• Administrators can define quotas by scheduling credit allocation at defined intervals.

• In a pay for print environment users can add funds to accounts using pre-paid voucher cards or through a variety of online payment systems to implement a self-managing user-pays system.

Users simply print to a single global virtual queue, then go to a print release station and release their print job. PaperCut knows which printers are nearby and picks the best one without bothering the user with the details.

Where multiple local printers are available intelligent load balancing algorithms are used to determine the best candidate based on factors such as printer load and error conditions.

Print Confirmation Popup:• When a user prints, PaperCut may optionally display

a popup with print job information including number of pages, color/grayscale information, the job's cost and its document name. Users verify the print job and can choose to print or cancel it. This process reduces waste by reducing the number of incorrect/accidental print jobs.
