Paraíso closes the line-up for its second edition Balkan Taskim joins the festival programme along with the 13 proposals of the new Nido Stage: Suso Saiz, Jackwasfaster or Guacamayo Tropical are some of the artists who will inaugurate this space. On Thursday, April 25 the Nido Stage will be presented at Reebok Human Lab Madrid, April 2019. The second edition of Paraíso, which will take place on June 14 and 15 at the Campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, has just incorporated the latest names that will form part of its second edition. Among them is the Romanian band Balkan Taksim, a project exploring Balkan sounds and taking them to the dance floor through an elegant electronic psychedelia, as well as the 23 local artists who, grouped in 13 sets, will inaugurate the new Nido Stage. In 2019 this new space will be dedicated to the vibrant panorama of the city of Madrid with DJs and producers who are revolutionizing the local scene and who, from their residences, clubs and collectives, keep the capital pumping 365 days a year: a_mal_gama Soundsystem, Bcosof Live Remixes (Pedro D. & Suso Saiz), Danilo & D.Faux, Dos Doggos, Eder Croket & Fer Xplosion, El Cuerpo del Disco, Estatua de La Libertad, F-on & DJF, Guacamayo Tropical DJs, Jackwasfaster, JAI & Damaru, Juanito Jones and S-brid & Gaspar Antuña. This Thursday, April 25, at 18:00 we will celebrate the opening of this new stage at the festival at Reebok’s Human Lab, located in Calle Conde Duque, 34 (Madrid). At the beginning of the event, the festival’s director, Jose Morán, will be available to talk to the press along with several of the artists performing at the Nido Stage: Josephine and Diskoan, members of a_mal_gam_a

Soundsystem, Yayo and Eloi, of El Cuerpo del Disco, and JAI and Damaru, of Possible Others. Later on, these six artists will provide a soundtrack to the event to offer an aperitif of what will be experienced in June on the Nido Stage.

A new open call

In addition, Paraíso has just launched a new call for architects and designers in collaboration with MATCOAM, the Materials Gallery of the Official College of Architects of Madrid. The aim of the call is to design an ephemeral architectural space that will serve as one of the festival’s main rest areas.

We are looking for installation projects or ephemeral architectural submissions for the space that, from different approaches, test and analyse all the possibilities offered by the catalogue of MATCOAM construction materials, considered from a different perspective, even taking advantage of their specific properties in ways for which they weren’t initially designed. Daily line-up

On June 14 and 15 festival-goers will live two days enveloped in electronic music from 18:00 to 05:30 in a green, open-air space with a food area providing local products and healthy menus, as well as a gaming area and numerous rest areas. Day tickets are available on paraisofestival.com at a price of €54 and €74 in the case of premium tickets.

Two-day tickets can be purchased for €90 or €125 for the premium two-day tickets. What’s more, they can be paid for in two instalments until May 25. Two-day team tickets at a price of €85 are also available, for groups between 6 and 10 people.
