Parc.1 is a mixed-use development in Yeoido Seoul, designed by one of the world’s best known architects, Richard Rogers and managed by international property firm Skylan Development.Relative to projects actually underway at present in Seoul, Parc.1 is the largest and will include the tallest building in Korea. Environmental Considerations and SustainabilityThe design is based on a sustainable approach, focusing on the minimum use ofnon-renewable resources and encouraging the re-use of materials and energy sources.The two office towers of Parc.1 received a prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold precertification from the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) in 2009. The LEED is a Green Building Rating System which honors environmentally sustainable construction. Parc.1 is the first development in Korea to receive this honor, marking a milestone in terms of best-in-class environmental design in Korea.
