Parent Academy STEM
PARENT ACADEMY FRANKLIN LAKES PUBLIC SCHOOLS
presents:
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. (By Elaine J. STEM for Parents Wednesday, May 18th at 7:00 pm in the CRS Instrumental Music Room
Please join District teachers and administrators for a glimpse into the many ways students engage with Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math [better known as STEM] learning throughout Franklin Lakes Public Schools. Through participation in this hands-on session, parents will develop understanding of the dispositions and mindsets STEM learning supports, and ways in which they can extend student learning simply at home. Facilitated by FAMS STEM Lab teacher, Ms. Eileen Antonison, Grades 4-5 Discovery Room teacher, Ms. Denise Hatley, and Grades K-3 Curiosity Corner teacher, Ms. Stacia Mascharka, in addition to District administrators, this session is designed to launch parents to the next level of understanding about STEM!
Please note: Registration is limited to 75 attendees. Early registration via Sign Up Genius is encouraged.
