Visa/Passport Requirements
• Visas: Check the Malaysian Immigration website if you think your child needs a visa for Malaysia.
• Passports: At least 6 months until expiry date of passport. At least 2 empty pages.
• Travel Insurance: All children must have valid Travel Insurance

Supervision
• 4 homeroom Teachers, plus 1 other from CIS.
• 3 ‘Life’s an Adventure’ Travel guides
• Minimum of 1:10, adult to child ratio at all times
Safety Precautions• Teachers and guides on site 24 hours.• All CIS staff are currently being re-certified in
first aid training and CPR.• The medical staff at the Kuala Tahan Medical
Clinic are available 24 hours a day.• In the event of an emergency the medical
staff will be called.• Nearest hospital is in Jerantut.
Contacting your Child
• In the spirit of independence, we are encouraging no family phone calls. A daily email will be sent to all parents.
• If you need to contact your child, please call Keith Bland or your child’s homeroom teacher (who will have their hand phones with them at all times).
Food
• A variety of Western and Asian food. • Children do not require their own
food once at Taman Negara. • They will need to bring a few snacks
for the train and bus ride.
Activities• Canopy Walk• Trek to Teresik Hill• Cultural Activities• Interpretive Walk
of the rainforest
Packing• Full packing lists will be supplied.• Teachers will collect all passports and
hand them out when required. Passports will be kept in the safe at Taman Negara.
• Electronic equipment such as Nintendo DS and Playstations are not to be brought on the excursion.
• Cameras and IPods are an exception. (Students may use IPods for train/bus journeys. In Taman Negara these will be locked into the safe).
