* Ask students to report which rooms they circled. Discuss on which floor of the palace Sylvia and Corvax's rooms are located. Is Sylvia's room "¿la de la izquierda, la del centro o la de la derecha?"
* Give students Activity Sheet 33b. Write the words "primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto" on the board for students to copy. Drill the levels of a house by asking questions, such as, "¿Dónde está el reloj / la televisión / la cocina / la bañera?" Students should answer, "En el ...., hay ..."* Use Activity Sheet 33c.
VIEWING ACTIVITIES* Show the video. Give students Activity Sheet 33a. Ask students to listen to the scene carefully and circle the rooms belonging to Sylvia and Corvax.
POST-VIEWING ACTIVITIES
PRE-VIEWING ACTIVITIES* Indicate the various levels to the class by drawing a simple picture of a multi-story house on the board. Point to the ground floor, and say, "Aquí está la planta baja." Point to the floors above it saying, "el primer piso, el segundo piso, el tercer piso."
* To give students a feeling for right, left and center, draw three rooms on one of the floors. Pointing to the room on the left, say, "la de la izquierda." Do the same for the other two rooms, saying, "la habitación de la derecha y la habitación del centro."
