I am very happy to have the annual Orientation program for the Ist year

post graduate students of our specialty aptly named as ‘Parichay’ at

Meenakshi Ammal Dental College, Chennai. This institution which is 27

years old has always been the seat of quality academic activity and clinical

training. Periodontology is multifaceted and complex, rapidly expanding

into the frontiers of microbiology, immunology, genetics and molecular

biology. The need of the hour is to train our future generation of

Periodontists in research methodology, communication skills and Clinical

record maintenance to name a few. I welcome all the newly joined post

graduate students, eminent speakers and the entire teaching faculty to this

program and have a great learning experience.
