In response to atrocities against Christians and others by mili-tant Islamic groups in the Middle East region, including ISIS in Iraq, the EPC is working with Christian Aid Mission (CAM), an evangelical agency through which EPC churches and in-dividuals can send relief funds.

EPC Stated Clerk, Jeff Jeremiah, spoke with CAM’s Middle East Area Director on August 11 and expressed ’full confidence’ in the or-ganization.

“I was impressed by how much he knew about what was going on in that area,” Jeremiah said. “He told me that the local, indigenous evangelical Christian groups in Kurdistan, Jor-dan, Lebanon and Syria with whom they work are seeing thousands of refugees respond to the gospel in this situation.”

The organization assists more than 500 ministries with tens of thousands of indigenous and native missionaries among more than 1,000 unreached people groups in more than 100 countries. CAM is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and

a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

August Session Report

MSP to budget for Mission 2015 the following: Gideons, Habitat for Humanity, Siskiyou Food Assistance, Christmas Basket Dinners, Relay for Life, Save the Rain, Coffee Connec-tion, EPC World Mission - Rev. Paul Branch, and EPC World Mission Frontiers - Bob Blinco. This is the same as budgeted for 2014 and will be reviewed at the end of 2015. The Church brochure needs to be revised and updated. Repairs and maintenance for the interior and exterior of the Church was discussed. It was agreed that the water system is a priority; also the lock on the front entrance door needs to be replaced or repaired so that the lock holds. MSP to allocate a dollar amount for our music leaders. This will be presented as gifts on Recognition Sunday, Sept. 14. Brunch will follow worship and volunteers will be asked to provide quiche, fruit and/or sweet rolls. Elder Jim Ray will fill pulpit supply that Sunday. Session members reviewed the CIFs that we had filled out, and reviewed one PIF that has been submitted as we proceed with a pastoral search. Nancy Wallace, Clerk of Session
