Where Adventure Begins - Faith in the Family
Passing on our faith to the next generation is one of the biggest challenges we face as parents, carers, grandparents, and churches. In a brilliantly entertaining show – real, touching, hilarious – Riding Lights create an unmissable piece of theatre to deepen our understanding of ‘family’ and the place of faith in it. Holy Trinity Academy is hosting the Telford leg of the tour on Friday, 2nd February, at 7:30pm.Tickets (£10) are available from Tim Carter or from the website: https://www.new-wine.org/adventurebegins

Praying for Leaders Tuesdays 7:30-8:00pm in the Prayer Room
As we look towards a new model of leadership for the parish (please pick up the proposal about this), it is important that we seek God in prayer, for the process and for the people who might take on leadership roles, including a new Church Warden. To enable this, we will be meeting to pray in the Prayer Room on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30pm to 8:00pm from 9th of January until the Annual Church Meeting.
Day of Prayer and Fasting for the Parish Finances 27th January
As we communicated in the notes from the last PCC meeting, the parish is currently running a £20,000 deficit annually. This cannot continue, we need to increase our income or reduce our costs.
On 27th January we have the opportunity to pray and fast for wisdom and generosity in making decisions about this, as individuals and as a community. All Saints building will be open for prayer from 8:00am to 8:00pm on the 20th of January. There will be opportunities to pray together between 8:00-9.00am, 12:00-1:00pm, and 7:00-8:00pm.
The All Saints Hospital Chaplaincy Team are on duty on the weekend of 20th - 21st January. Please pray for the members of the team as they seek to help those in the hospital who are in need of support.
The members of the team would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in becoming involved in the hospital chaplaincy.
We are having an informal social(tea and cakes!) on Sunday 4th February at 1, Haygate Drive, Wellington, TF12BX between 3pm and 6pm. It is an opportunity to find out what is involved in helping at the Princess Royal Hospital on a two monthly basis - or just to have a cake! For more information please contact Maddie or John Pattinson on 01952 260193 or 07754675479.

MORNING PRAYER—WEEK 2 MONTH 1 Week beginning 14th January 2017
Daily Prayer Calendar - Please help yourself to a copy of the Prayer Calendar
which can be found at the back of church and use it as often as you can to help focus our prayers together
Please pray for:
For the family & friends of Harold Arrowsmith whose funeral was held last week.
We pray for the staff of Shallowford House and Dovedale House and all the places of reflection, retreat, recreation and resourcing in the diocese.
A prayer for the week, from the Syrian church, as we stand in unity with our persecuted sisters and brothers: ‘Creator of the morning, who drives out darkness and brings light and joy to the creation; create in us habits of virtue and drive
from us all the darkness of sin; give us light and joy by the glorious rays of your grace, Lord our God, forever. Amen’.
For a deepening of faith and knowledge for those starting the weekly Discipleship Explored course.
Gill Ireland's mother Vera died peacefully on 4 January. Vera had been very poorly for the last two months, so her death has come as something of a release. She had a strong Christian faith and after a full and long life to depart and be with Christ is indeed 'better by far' (Phil. 1:23).
