HOLY TRINITY: Today we are celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. God sent his Son to save us and to forgive us, making us his adopted children. Like the Trinity of person, may we be united in peace and love through the Spirit, through whom we offer God praise and glory.
PARISH COUNCIL: There is a Parish Council Meeting
which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday June 13, 2017
beginning from 7:30p.m. at the Convent basement.
RENEW AND REBUILD MEETING: Today Sunday June 11, soon after 11:00 am Spanish Mass there will be a meeting for all those parishioners who received Renew and Rebuild invitation in the school Gymnasium. Lunch will be provided.

CONFIRMATION REHEARSAL: Confirmation rehearsal is
scheduled to take place on Monday June 19, 2017 at
exactly 6.30p.m.
FATHERS’ DAY: Fathers’ Day will be celebrated on
Sunday June 18, 2017. On that day, we shall also celebrate
the Feast of Corpus Christi, Donation envelopes in honor
of fathers are available at the back of the church. Let us
pray for our fathers alive or dead. That very day soon after
11:00a.m. mass, we shall have a brief procession with the
Blessed Sacrament around the parish church. Please, make
it a point to join in that prayerful event. Amen.
CORPUS CHRISTI: We shall celebrate the Feast of the
Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ on Sunday June 18,
2017. Soon after 11:00a.m. mass in Spanish we shall
proceed with our street Procession in honor and praise to
our Savior in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Body of
Christ. Let us make it a prayerful event.
SACRED HEART: On Friday June 23, 2017 we shall
celebrate the Feast of Sacred Heart. English Mass will be
at 1.00pm and Mass in Spanish at 7:30pm. Members of
Sacred Heart will come vested in their uniform on that day.
ST. CATHERINE ACADEMY SUMMER TACHS PREP PROGRAM: St. Catherine academy’s Higher Achievement
Program (HAP) for 7th and 8th grade girls will be taking
place from July 5th through July 21st from 9:00a.m –
1:00p.m. HAP will help to strengthen and reinforce English,
Math and Reading skills for success in the Test for
Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS). Your

La liturgia de este Domingo celebra la fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad, que es el corazón de nuestra experiencia de fe. En nuestra vida de creyentes, continuamente hacemos referencia a este misterio: Fuimos bautizados “en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo”, Así entramos a participar de la pascua del Señor y nos incorporamos a la comunidad eclesial”. Varias veces el día nos santiguamos diciendo: “en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo”. Las oraciones litúrgicas terminan con la formula trinitaria: “ Esto lo pedimos por medio de Jesucristo, tu Hijo, que vive y reina contigo y con el Espíritu Santo, por los siglos de los siglos Amen”. Estas expresiones trinitarias, que forman parte de nuestra rutina diaria, son el punto de llegada de un largo proceso de auto manifestación de Dios a la humanidad, que se inicio con el llamado que Iahvé hizo Abraham, nuestro padre en la fe, y que llega su plenitud en Jesucristo, que es el Hijo eterno de Dios que se hace hombre en la entrañas de Maria. A través de sus enseñanzas, Jesus fue descubriendo a los discípulos quien era el padre y cual era su relación particularísima con El; hacia el final de su ministerio anuncio que el Padre enviaría al Espíritu Santo. La experiencia de la resurrección abrió las mentes y los corazones de los discípulos quienes, iluminados por la gracia, recordaron la palabras de Jesus y comprendieron lo que había querido reverlas. Por eso es tan interesante comparar las formulaciones contenidas en las dos primeras lecturas pues no ofrecen una panorámica de la auto manifestación de Dios en la historia de salvación: Pidamos a Jesus, revelador del padre, que la vivencia de la Trinidad impregne toda nuestra vida de fe y se traduzca en unas relaciones familiares y sociales inspiradas en la verdad y el amor.
We often begin Mass with the prayer from today’s Epistle. “ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. “ We praise the God who has revealed himself as a Trinity a communion of persons.
Communion with the Trinity is the goal of our worship- and the purpose of the salvation history that begins in the Bible and continues in the Eucharist and sacrament of the Church.
We see the beginnings of God’s revelation in today’s First Reading, as He passes before Moses and cries out His holy name.
Israel had sinned in worshipping the golden calf. But God does not condemn them to perish. Instead He proclaimed His mercy and faithfulness to His covenant.
God loved Israel as His firstborn son among the nations. Though Israel-heirs of His covenant with Abraham- God planned to reveal himself as the Father of all nations.
The Memory of God’s covenant testing of Abraham- and Abraham’s faithful obedience- lies behind today’s Gospel.
In commanding Abraham to offer his only beloved son, God was preparing us for the fullest possible revelation of His love for the world.
As Abraham was willing to offer Isaac, God did not spare His own Son but handed Him over for us all.
In this, He revealed what was only disclosed partially to Moses- that His kindness continues for a thousand generations, that He forgive our sin, and take us back as His very own people.
