Round the corner and confronted with this.
Transcript
  • Round the corner and confronted

    with this.

  • My first knowledge that

the quarry was to be infilled.

  • The Main Points from the meeting

    1. The material was coming from the railway.

    2. There would be 1,000,000 cube of material. Basically enough to fill Quarry No2. 3. Maximum 70 lorries per day

    4. Timescale would be 1/1.5 years.

    5. Would be operating under the planning conditions contained in the 1982 consent and the amendments in 1990 and 1997 as the Council had failed to carry a ROMPS review in breach of their obligations.

  • The Main Planning Conditions.

Permission for extraction granted for 20 years. Must cease by 31st December 2002.

No material to be imported onto site for infilling purposes unless a formal Planning Application has been submitted

The final restoration levels of the land shall correspond to the the restoration levels indicated on the approved cross-sections and shall merge with the surrounding existing levels.

  • Before any Limestone spoil is removed from Quarry No2 provision of clear sightlines, traffic signing and road strengthening shall be carried out to the crossing point.

Stripping of Topsoil or Subsoil to be carried in dry weather.

Land to be returned to Permanent Agricultural Use.

  • All extraction must cease by 31st December 2002

    16 March2013

  • 21 May 2013

  • 12Nov 2013

  • 29 March 2014 If cattle jumped

    ?

  • Levels to merge with surrounding ground

  • Still to add subsoil and topsoil. The skys the limit!

  • Extracting stone and diverting dirty water into old underground workings

    15 March 2015

  • Poor visibility of oncoming traffic

  • Lorries cant and dont stop

    to look.

  • Lorries coming uphill on both

    sides.

  • Stripping of Topsoil and Subsoil must be done in dry weather.

  • Not an area identified in the plans relating to the consents for any purpose related to the extraction of stone or spoil.

  • From field to this!
