I AM the Vine

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;

for without Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

“I am the TRUE vine, and My Father is the

gardener.” John 15:1

STAYING connected produces fruit

John 8:31-32

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed

Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My

disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Being disconnected produces NOTHING

John 15:5-6

“…for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:6

1 Corinthians 10:12

“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”

Staying Connected

1) Do what Jesus says

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:10

“He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” John 9:6-7

“Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

John 13:12-17

“Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

For I have given you an example, that

you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”
