ENTER YOUR 2013 PINK GLOVE
DANCE VIDEO
A World Without Breast Cancer is in Our Hands.®
And we don’t just mean your Pink Glove Dance moves.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication to breast cancer
awareness and to the Pink Glove Dance (PGD).
In this 2013 PGD launch kit, you will find tools and ideas to get your Pink Glove Dance
team on its way. Get ready and get set to be part of something that started in 2009 with
200 dancers at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, in Portland, OR; grew to 4,000
dancers at 20 sites the next year; then 17,000 in the 2011 competition and 60,000 just
last year.
This isn’t a dance fad that’s going to fade away; it is a global movement that
helps build awareness, share joy and raise funds to eradicate the most commonly
diagnosed cancer in women worldwide. The winning PGD video this year gets to
direct a $25,000 donation to a breast cancer charity of their choice.
Read on for tools, tips, and rules.

Instructions
Your official PGD entry must feature TWO organizations—yours and your community partner. You
cannot start a new organization JUST to enter the PGD competition. You can work with any
number of organizations on your video and fundraising.
Ideas
What inspires you to make a PGD video? Look for organizations that share your
vision. Reach out to a local school, police or fire department, social service agency, sports team—
anyone who’s ready to dance and support the cause with you. Your community partner can be large
or small, public or private, health-related or not. They must be enthusiastic, ready to do some work and
have some fun for a good cause. Talk to family, friends and other connections—just ask!

Instructions PGD entrants are required to do some fundraising for the breast cancer charity of their choice. The
minimum goal is $2,000. In the final PGD entry form, you will list the name of the charity—which must
have 501(c)3 nonprofit status—and the proof-of-donation with the amount raised. The charity you
select must be involved in breast cancer research, support, education,
or care. Details are in the Official Rules. If you are a winner in the PGD competition, that charity,
or another breast cancer charity of your choice, will receive an additional contribution directly from
Medline (subject to Official Rules).
