The Bear CaresParking lot charity car washes can harm the environment and be deadly to fish and other aquatic lifeMany corrosive and toxic substances get deposited on streets and highways and end up on cars and trucks. Wastewater from parking lot and driveway car washes containing toxic hydrocarbons, oil, grease, and other suspended solids like brake dust, often flow directly into storm drains intended for rainwater. These substances can then eventually end up in our rivers, lakes, and other waterways, potentially harming or even killing fish and other aquatic life.

Better for the environment Brown Bear Car Wash provides an environmentally safe alternative to driveway and parking lot car washing. In compliance with environmental regulations, we first treat our wash water and then discharge the excess safely into the sanitary sewer system – not the storm drain system. Going even further, Brown Bear uses only non-caustic, non-acidic, non-corrosive and phosphate-free solutions.

Better for your vehicleScientific studies have shown that rags and sponges used in driveway washing inevitably become impregnated with tiny particles of grit that can scratch vehicle surfaces. Additionally, due to inadequate water pressure, most garden hoses leave soap residue that can “bake” into the finish and work their way into the paint.

Brown Bear Car Wash uses washing methods and materials that are consistent with the recommendations contained in the Owners’ Manuals of leading domestic and foreign auto manufacturers. Why do manufacturers recommend these methods? Because they have proven to be the most effec-tive methods at preserving the finish – and resale value – of your car, van, pickup or SUV.

Here’s how it worksIf you belong to a qualifying organization, you can sell tickets redeemable at environmentally friendly Brown Bear Car Wash tunnel facilities throughout the Puget Sound area.

Selling car wash tickets instead of having a parking lot car wash is not only better for the environment, it’s better for your organization.

• You can raise more money because you can sell more than one ticket at a time.

• Your fundraising event is not weather-dependent.

• The Brown Bear Car Wash charity tickets are $1.50 each with a suggested selling price of $6 - $8.

• If you have 20 people sell 20 tickets each for $7, you will raise $2200.

• The tickets are custom printed with the charity’s name.

• Brown Bear Car Wash has Marketing Kits available to help charities sell tickets.
