Interpretation Plans• Link plans to the over-arching theme: ‘Wales the first industrial nation…created
by genius, moulded from the land, crafted by many hands’
• Establish a ‘network’ of community heritage interpretation projects
Activities & Results
• Over 70 individuals attending workshops
• 22 community groups developing heritage interpretation plans
• 18 plans complete and seeking funding or being implemented

Green Network• Aims to improve the urban environment for
community recreational use, to increase the biodiversity interest, and to involve the local communities.
• Successful strong partnership of statutory and community sectors
• Green Network as a partnership has secured in excess of £1.5million pounds of grant funding in the last three years
• Genwen Quarry is a site that has been identified by the partnership for regeneration
