Breaking the Box moving the slides
Concept:
Our general concept provides as much as view for eachspace in the residential units to have view to the south andavoiding the sunshine from west. so we broke the box, moving the slides smoothly, and putting curtail wall in thesouth. this concept maximized south sunlight andminimized the west sunlight. one of my colleagues, Makan,in this project uses sustainable building design softwarelike Autodesk Ecotect for simulation and building energyanalysis functionality to improve performance of the newbuilding designs.
This project was drawn by Autodesk Revit and Renderedby Autodesk 3DsMAX.
With this concept we have the view of Damavand, highestsummit of Iran, for each unit of the project. to maximize theview we rotate our project 20° to the west from the south.finally we have 4 towers with 15 floors and 40 sq.m.totalFloor Area.

this orientation offers great views toward the farmland andDamavand. we minimized overlapping the view by movingthe block. It allows for a publicly accessible in thebasement, Ground and first floor level.
By Placing the transparent windows in south we cancapture more solar radiation in winter and reducing thesolar radiation in summer

And:
The monumental form of the complex (especially from the bird eye view and at nights when the building blocks areluminous) could change this complex to a preeminent element next to the west gate of the city. The roofs which couldhave a contrast with the surrounding urban context according to their forms and colors intensify this idea. Thedistinction of roofs, also the organization of the blocks above a pilot area (especially near the entrance of the complexnext to Fath Highway) can remind a vague image of the National Industrial Group. Moreover, the break in the structureof the imaginary girding system in the entrance makes it more distinctive. The combination of the entrance with apublic plaza increases the inviting feature of entrance. The lamination of the blocks and the voids in between themmakes the most of the physical features-especially the sunlight. The voids in between the blocks which also extendsunder the blocks in some parts, is a modern experience of the traditional central yard.
In designing the commercial zone of the complex, the aim was to have an easy access to the commercial units andalso increasing the passing spaces and anchors which leads to the optimum efficiency(2);but if necessary, the grossarea of the commercial zone can be increased to reach the program areal needs by decreasing this open spaces.
The linear orientation of this part is due to the aim of increasing the functional quality. The combination of this part withthe skylights (which are located in between the blocks) reminds the Iranian Bazaars.

Concept:Considering the intense density of construction and functional areas needed in the program of the project, if one could imagine that the site iscovered with an integral and united five-storey volume (permissible limit) andthen draw a grid consisted of two axis in different angles(one along the climatic axis, which is the optimal direction of construction, and the other onealong the geometric lines of the site and surrounding urban context), By adjusting an appropriate distancebetween these axes (the minimum distance of 8 meters between the blocks) and creating some spaces between the strips of blocks, the basicorientation of the project is being defined.
The complex has got a main circulation axis which is divided into two parallel parts:1- A horizontal axis, which provides an access to the inhabitants and the visitors on the ground floor and makes the visual continuity between thecomplex and the surrounding urban context.(the close relationship between the modern trade and urbanism and designing this project in order to create a preeminent complex for trading and atthe same time for the city of Tehran).2- A vertical axis which contains the vertical accesses (stairs and elevators) next to a crossing path.

The Grand Egyptian MuseumInternational Architectural CompetitionDesign concept
Our proposed architecture is a huge covering shed with two rectangularroofs, projecting out to draw the scenery of the pyramids to the exhibitionspaces beneath. Dealing with the program of the Grand Egyptian Museum,we figured out that great examples of museum architecture categorize theprogram, rationalize physical form and impose preconceived categories ontothat form. Yet the complex program of this museum can not be imposed intoany single architecture in the conventional sense. We proposed an urbanfabric as the only prototype flexible enough to respond to the
complexities of fluid yet separated movement of people and objects indifferent sections of such museum.
The museum is half embedded in the dunes of Alexandria desert, and sand with its identical color makes this architecture inseparablefrom its surroundings. The formal expression of the project is twohuge planes hovering over a complex of irregular masses.Coming from a country with similar contemporary architecture, stranded between tradition and modernity, we tried our best toingeniously influence the city scape of Giza with minimal aestheticsand reduce the chaotic effect of sprawling low-rise buildings in thecity of the world's greatest monuments, the Pyramids.

The program of the GEM has been considered as four major functions(Exhibition, Research and Training, Conservation and Administration). In ourdesign each of these functions is followed along a separate network.Networks slide over one another forming different layers with Exhibitionitineraries on top. Visitors can observe the conservation workshops, researchlaboratories and other administrative activities of the museum, and practicallythe visual segregation between backstage and the exhibitions would bediminished.Visitors can visit the GEM either chronologically by walking along the Mainlobby or thematically by following the Itineraries.
Principals of Consept
Cut into the dunal platform of the site, two huge planes, taking the scenery of the pyramids to the angle in between will be the overall expression of the project.Theoverall look is humble yet,the expected verticalism is maintained inside.
