BANCADA: It constitutes the supporting surface and the backbone of a lathe

head

It is fixed on the left side of the lathe bed and on it are mounted

usually the bodies responsible for transmitting the movement of the motor

axis.

It is used to support the other end of the workpiece during the

machining, or to hold various cutting tools, such as drills,

reamers and taps.

It is also called longitudinal slide. This slides over the part

top of the guides of the bed.

Apron:

It is the part of the car that gives down, facing the operator. contains

gears and clutches that transmit forward movement
