Do you remember an article last September about Berdie and Zoe? Well, if you missed it I am going to recap it as we welcome Berdie to the FFC fami-ly as the Director of Programs. Be sure to introduce yourself when you come by FFC! Berdie was a child in care from the age of 13. She was in a few foster homes then a group home until she moved on to independent living. Friends of Foster Children (FFC) helped Berdie throughout her stay in care; school supplies, clothing, events, home furnishings and much more. Berdie graduated college and went on to get her masters in social work. Berdie always knew she wanted to give back, and two years ago she became a licensed foster home and took Zoe as a placement. In 2015 she adopted Zoe. Friends of Foster Children is incredibly proud of Berdie and her accomplishments. One of the ‘not measurable’ yet wonderful things FFC provides for Berdie, is that of a home base, we are family and continueto be a part of her life and are blessed she and Zoe are a part of ours.
