How does it connect to Baptism? Romans 6: 3-11

How does it connect to Baptism? Romans 6:3-11 the TOMB and the WOMB

Galatians 2:20“I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me.”

Paul Bon Jovi (and gLee)

The Anti-Baptism Song?

“I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me.”

It's my life

It's now or never

I ain't gonna live forever

I just want to live while I'm alive

My heart is like an open highway

Like Frankie said

I did it my way

I just wanna live while I'm alive

It's my life

What brings us Glory in life?

What brings us satisfaction?

KENOSIS “I even consider everything as a loss because of the supreme

good of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord. For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having any righteousness of my own based on the law but which comes through faith in Christ” Phillippians 3:8-10

“For I am already being poured out like a libation . . I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:6

God to Paul: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness”

“I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-9

What brings us Glory in life?

What brings us satisfaction?

KENOSIS = self-emptyingEverything is God’s work. If you take away what is of God, then there is nothing (but my will).

KENOSIS = self-emptyingEverything is God’s work. If you take away what is of God, then there is nothing (but our will).

When we see God’s INFINITE POWER and our EMPTY HANDS, we can then see how much sense it makes to submit our will to God.

When we see God’s INFINITE POWER and our EMPTY HANDS, we can then see how much sense it makes to submit our will to God.

If we let our weakness be a realization of our need for God (and therefore submit ourselves entirely to God), then we can be entirely suffused by God’s Being, power, and love. EX: echo

What brings us Glory in life?

What brings us satisfaction?

It’s ironically simple:

It’s ironically simple: I just have to be willing to die.
