CITRIX PRINTING REQUIREMENTS
For PC printer mapping to function the printer driver needs to be installed on the Citrix Server machine. This Printer driver needs to match the one used on the client regardless of type of printer. ie: User A printer to a LaserJet 4000 but has the LaserJet 4 printer driver. The Citrix server would need to have the LaserJet 4 printer driver in order for print mapping to work.
Macintosh printer mapping requires the Citrix Server machine become a part of the AppleTalk Zone. This means the Citrix Server would need to belong to every AppleTalk network where printing is desired. AppleTalk is not routed. There is a work around. Macintosh machines can access and print to printers installed directly on the Citrix Server machine. If the Citrix Server machine has a printer installed that accessible to the network via IP like a HP JetDirect device, then the Macintosh user can select and print to it.
