• Carvel is at 436 Atlantic Avenue. When I went to Carvel I got chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles on it. They make great ice cream. They also have ice cream cake. I like Carvel!

• Anthony’s,531 Atlantic Avenue. When I went to Anthony’s I got a pizza with sausage. They have great pizza. Anthony ‘s pizza has a 5 dollar special. I like Anthony’s.

• Centre Avenue School, 55 Centre Avenue, In Centre Avenue , Lots of kids are learning in Centre Avenue. This is the best school ever! It has a playground and the kids love playing in there.

• Long Island Railroad. Ocean Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. East Rockaway is a railroad station serving the Long Beach Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located at Atlantic and Ocean Avenues in East Rockaway New York. Christian Barth

• CVS.98Main Street & 488 Ocean Avenue. At CVS I buy candy, soda and medicine. CVS sells shampoo and a little bit of toys too.

• Rolling River Day Camp 477 Ocean Ave. Rolling River Day Camp is a summer camp for children. Every year they have a fair. My mom works at the fair.

• East Rockaway Post Office 10 Main Street. When I go to the post office I tell the workers to send my mail. I get my passport picture there too. You send your mail there. When I got my passport the worker showed me all the boxes.

• White Cannon New waterfront The white cannon is about three feet tall. The white cannon was used long ago. It is right near the water. It is right next to the Reel.

• Memorial Park Atlantic Avenue Memorial Park has a war memorial dedicated to those in the military. Memorial Park has a stage that people go onto to do plays. Ashleigh Grochmal

• Rocco`s Restaurant 428 Atlantic Avenue This family owned and operated business had been in East Rockaway since 1986.They serve pizza, heroes and calzones to seafood platters, veal rollatini and the sun dried tomatoes.

• Pathmark 492 Atlantic Avenue My mom and I like to shop there because they have lots of food in Pathmark and yummy cupcakes and yummy food to eat. - Victoria Jandzinski

• The Dance Space 55 Main Street. The Dance Space is a great place to dance. It has all different types of dances you can choose more than one type.

• Bay Park is located on 96 First Avenue in East Rockaway. Bay Park has two playgrounds for kids. It has many activities including tennis and basketball courts, bike and running paths, and a nine hole golf course. There is a dock in Bay Park. It has so many things because Bay Park is separated into different parts that are very big. I have been to Bay Park many times so I know many things about it. Conor Kelly

• Jeannie’s Bakery 59 Main Street. Two interesting facts about Jeannie’s bakery is that they have outstanding, delicious muffins and cookies!!! It is one of the most famous bakeries around.

• East Rockaway High school 443 Ocean Avenue. The school is Nassau County’s smallest high school. When I go there I go to see plays and Rock Rivalry.

• East Rockaway Fire Department has provided fire rescue and emergency services for the residents and business owners in East Rockaway since 1893. They are the oldest organization within the village. The fire department is made up of neighbors friends and relatives.

• Wendy’s, Atlantic Avenue Our school had a fundraiser at Wendy’s for iPads. It also has great food to eat like hamburgers.

• Villa Maria,81 Main Street is very nice. The food is very good. They have a big menu with different kinds of foods like Italian foods. Jake Melesio

• Puppy Park 145 Main Street puppy park has dogs. I got my dog from Puppy Park. Also Puppy Park does grooming.

• Reel 1 Main Street Reel has excellent seafood dishes from Chef Adam Goldgell. There is an outside dining on the deck. Reel is open all year round with the menu changing seasonally.

• Rhame Avenue 100 Rhame Avenue. Rhame Ave was built in 1926.Due to a fire in 1986 the school was closed and rebuilt. The principal is Laura Guggino.

• St. Raymond’s Church 263 Atlantic Avenue. Two interesting facts I know is that the priest's name is Father Chuck and it gets more than 50 people to church on the same day.

• Grist mill Woods Avenue. Two facts I know is that it has a museum full of interesting things and it has been around for a long time. It is the oldest building I know. It is 300 years old.
