The Project, Third phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (referred to as TEQIP-III) is fully integrated with the Twelfth Five-year Plan objectives for Technical Education as a key component for improving the quality of Engineering Education in existing institutions with a special consideration for Low Income States and Special Category States and support to strengthen few affiliated technical universities to improve their policy, academic and management practices.
RAJASTHAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (RTU), KOTA & BIKANER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (BTU), BIKANER
Rajasthan Technical University is located in Kota in the state of Rajasthan. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan. The university currently affiliates about 129 Engineering Colleges, 4 B Arch, 41 MCA Colleges, 95 MBA Colleges, 44 M Tech Colleges and 3 Hotel Management and Catering Institutes. The University aims to provide quality technical education which may help Rajasthan in its technical development and will boost technical environment in the country. BTU is located in Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan. It was established in 2017 by the Government of Rajasthan. Its new session will be started from 2018. The university currently affiliates about 47 (Engineering, B Arch, MCA, MBA and M Tech Colleges).
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani was founded by Shree Krishnarpan Charity Trust as its technical wing under the Chairmanship of Syt Basant Kumar Birla in the year 2007. The institute is approved by AICTE & is affiliated to RTU, Kota/BTU, Bikaner for UG programs in CSE, ECE, EE, ME with 120 seats in each branch and IT with 60 Seats.
The institute has dedicated faculties, state of art laboratories, modern infrastructure, medical facility, playgrounds, open theatre, Library with book bank and fully air conditioned, Computer Center & furnished Hostels for Boys & Girls. The campus provides first-rate environment to engineering students to pursue their academic, intellectual, moral and cultural skills.
AIM AND OBJECTIVE OF THE FDP
This Faculty Development Program aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical and hands on practical experience on Research Methodology and LaTeX to the beginners. The Faculty Development Program will focus on theoretical aspects and provide hands-on experience to participants so that they become able to train faculty members in their respective institutions as well as to promote industry-institute collaborations by working on the industrial projects and solve the current research problems.
