What is a pattern?

A pattern is the repetition of

a color, shape, or picture to

make it reoccurring.

Some different types of patterns:Type Description

Polka-dots Circles lines up in an orderly fashion beside each other

Stripes Straight lines going in one direction

Swirls Circular lines that go around each other

Zigzag Straight lines that change direction and form V’s

Vector A 3-D type of design using all types of patterns

Repetition Repeating a picture or shape over and over
