INTRODUCING GOCCLES®Innovative medical device conceived and patented by the team of oral and maxillo-facial surgeons of the Catholic University of Rome – Policlinico Gemelli, GOCCLES® is an eyewear equipped with a patented optical fi lter to be used in combination with any curing light available in dental offi ces. GOCCLES® allows the observation of the fl uorescence of the healthy mucosa and helps to detect suspicious precancerous and cancerous lesions, which are sometimes barely or totally invisible to the naked eye.
CURING LIGHTGOCCLES® works in conjunction with curing lights available in all dental clinical offi ces and it does not require additional disposables or accessories. When common dental curing lights irradiate the mucosa, a specifi c molecule (Flavin Adenine Dinucleotide - FAD) is excited and emits a feeble light visible only with special fi lters.
