Early Life

• Pau Gasol nació en julio 6th de 1998 en el barcelona, España.• Pau’s mother and father both played basketball, so Pau carried

on the trend as well as his brother.• When Pau was in school, he needed to have a custom desk

made because he was too tall.• When Pau was sixteen years old, he played for Barcelona’s

Spanish team• Pau’s first plan was to go to school to be a doctor, but dropped

out of med school after a year to pursue playing professional basketball.

• In 2010, Pau won the rookie of the year award.

• Pau won this award in his first year playing for Memphis.

• He was then awarded to the All-Rookie first team
