THE MISSION

Since 1933, the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County has been providing shelter, food and medical care for thousands of injured, neglected and abused animals. And for just as long, people like you have kept us going.

Thousands of animals are neglected or abused in Memphis and Shelby County each year. Hungry, scared and injured, these animals face a bleak future. That’s where we come in. We are the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. With support from animal lovers like you, we can help pre-vent and stop animal abuse as well as help injured animals in Memphis and Shelby County. We are able to provide animals with a safe place to recover, nutritious food and outstanding veterinary care. On average, we provide sanctuary to over 100 animals at our facility at any given time, with dozens more placed with foster families until they are ready to be adopted. And we are dedicated to providing these animals a brighter future.

An essential part of our work is giving these animals the emotional support, training and socialization abilities that will allow them to be adopted into new and loving homes and long-lasting relationships.

We have been celebrating animals and confronting cruelty since our founding in 1933. From then until today, our funding comes exclusively from private donations from animal lovers like you.

The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County invites you to attend its largest fundraiser and party of the year. The 2019 Paw Prints party will be held Saturday, August 24 at the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms. The evening will include a live auction, open bar, buffet dinner, live enter-tainment, dancing and so much more! We anticipate to have over 400 people attend in support of our mission!

Sponsorship opportunities start at just $500 and include exciting recog-nition, specialized gala night guest experience, and one-of-a-kind benefits! All sponsorship proceeds go directly towards the life saving mission.
