Payment • There is one notable difference from the day: no debit at night • Tabs must be started with a preauthorized credit card • Other than a tab, cash is the most common and easiest form of payment. • There is an ATM available inside the building where patrons can get cash if needed Billing • SoHo offers multiple billing options during the evening •Bottle service it is charged per bottle consumed, each bottle is $230 and the bill includes 15% gratuity • A tab can be started upon arrival by giving a server or bartender the credit card and authorizing for payment and then signing at the end • There is no food available so the bill will consist of mostly alcoholic beverages • The bill is not itemized to reduce the amount of paper used Exceptions • These include, but are not limited to making special drinks for customers that are not on the menu or picking up the tab for important customers Safekeeping • SoHo has a well-lit large parking lot that make customers feel safe parking at night • Customers first encounter the doormen who check ID’s • Next is a mandatory coat-check and a cover charge • These policies make sure no one is hiding anything in their jackets and discourages patrons that are not interested in the paid services • The last step in the safekeeping process is another security guard to pat down male patrons and Hospitality • This is a bit difficult at night because there are many more customers than staff • Doormen will greet customers as they enter the club • The bartender greets customers as they approach the bar, however depending on how busy it is customer may have to wait to be served. Order Taking • Reservations for specific extra services can be done over the phone • Orders at the bar are filled immediately • Orders on the floor are written down and entered into the computer system Consultation • Patrons are able to reserve VIP service, private rooms/booths, and bottle service prior to or while enjoying a night out at SoHo • Staff discuss with guests prior to their event to help them decide what type of service will suit their needs best Information • The website provides information about ‘Salsa Thursdays’, ‘Release Fridays’ and ‘Latin Class Saturdays’ • SoHo’s history can be found on the website • Posters inside the club detail information about specials and upcoming events • Drink prices are available from the menu on the table Core • SoHo is a lounge and nightclub open to the general public Thursday through Sunday
