By all accounts it was a tremendous event with our students shining. I have enjoyed watching the culture of the performances grow over the past five years. This event is a fine example of what can be achieved. Congratulations and thanks to every student who took part at each stage. Great effort. Well done to those who made it to the final and of course to the winning acts for 2013. I would also like to thank our staff, especially Mrs Lynch who put in an enormous amount of time and effort leading up to the event. Community Workshop Thanks to the parents and community members who were able to attend the Managing Difficult Conversations workshop last week. We appreciate your support, feedback and willingness to trial this initiative.

School Garden If you have been around the school recently you may have noticed lots of activity around our garden. Mrs Lynch has been successful in having our school accepted as part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. Local businesses have been generous in their support and the project is gaining momentum. It has also attracted the attention of our local media. Last week Stephen McGrame from ABC Mid North Coast Radio visited the school. Stephen interviewed staff and students about the garden and our participation in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. The interview will be aired in the near future. Thank you Lyndall for you time, effort and commitment. Thanks also to our community and of course our enthusiastic student gardeners.

Summer Fruits

Summer fruits are often the fruit children love the most. And with scrumptious stone fruits, mouth-watering melons and beautiful berries on offer, who can blame them!

A small container of mixed berries, sliced peaches or nectarine or chopped melon makes a delicious Crunch & Sip (or any other time!) treat. These soft fruits are also kind on wiggly teeth.

These fruits are extra sweet and juicy, so make sure you send along a paper napkin or sheet of paper towel for your child to wipe their hands!

P & C Thank you Therese would like to extend a massive thank you to all the helpers who braved the rain and came to lend a hand on the P&C stall at the River Festival over the weekend. Also a huge thank you to the parents who rolled the famous Xmas raffle wheelbarrow down to Foodworks to sell raffle tickets, you’re amazing!

Please find Xmas stall information below and we are looking for volunteers who could help run the stall. It will be held first thing in the morning and any time you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Please remember that the disco is this Thursday at the Macksville Ex Services Club. Everyone is welcome, please come and help Jordan raise some money for the Cancer Council.

NEXT THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER

We will be holding our Christmas Stall in the New Hall next Thursday morning. Please support our P & C fundraiser by purchasing a gift for mum, dad, nan, pop, brother, sister or friend. Families are also welcome to come along and buy a gift. Mainly children’s gifts.

Please only send money in with your child/children on the day of the stall along with a plastic bag for them to take their gifts home in. Gifts will be priced between $2.00 - $6.00 Remember to keep on selling those Christmas Raffle tickets too. If you need more books just send a note in with your child or simply pick them up from the front office. Many thanks to those people who have donated hamper items to help build our fantastic raffle prizes but we still need more...more…..more!

The raffle will be drawn on Presentation Day Thank You!

Our brilliant MPS Circus Troupe braved the rainy weather at the River Festival and wowed the crowds! They showed that the show really must go on after the stage roof partially collapsed! That didn’t stop our performers, they simply took the show out on to the road! The crowds were delighted with their talents and it makes us so proud to show case these amazing kids.
