From Mr. Odell’s desk: (God’s Word given to teachers each week and we want to share with you, also!)
Psalm 119:33-40
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end. 34 Give me understand-
ing, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with all my heart. 35 Make me walk in the
path of Your commandments, for I delight in it. 36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to
covetousness. 37 Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way. 38 Establish our word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. 39 Turn away my reproach
which I dread. For Your judgments are good. 40 Behold I long for Your precepts, revive me in Your
righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16-4:2
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correc-
tion, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped
for every good work. 4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge
the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season
and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching.
Everything we know about God and his will comes from God’s own revelation. We only know the
good news of Jesus Christ because God has revealed the truth about himself to us – and he has
done that in his Word, the Bible. “God words” are abundant today. May we truly be people who de-
light in His Word and give ourselves wholly to Him and His Truth, and guard it with every bit of
strength and devotion that we allow God to grow in us.
Birthdays... Happy birthday

Thank you for returning all the thankful turkey feather. Our fat turkey looks great.
Thank you, too, for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox donations. We filled our two boxes.
We had so much fun out in the snow on Friday. We brought snowballs in and watched them melt
during the afternoon. We were surprised how dirty the water was.
Please send warm and weather appropriate coats, hats, mittens, boots and snow pants as we
will continue to go outside as much as possible. An extra pair of gloves and socks could be
helpful.
In Phonics we will be adding the letters W, w blends Y, y, and P, p to our recognition, blends, sounds and new
words. The students will finish words by picking the correct ending letter/sound. We will read sentences and draw a
picture to go with the sentence. We will review all letters, sounds, blends and make many words. We will add to our
“Word Wall” because we can read so many words.
Our new letters will be practiced in Handwriting and the students will complete an evaluation paper in Handwriting.
They are doing awesome writing letters. They take their time and try their very best. I am so proud of their hard
work. We will have a Handwriting evaluation. Check the wall outside our room for our best handwriting papers.
In Numbers we are making the 40, 50 family numbers with recognition and our flash cards. The boys and girls are
doing awesome in recognizing the teen, twenty and thirty family.
We will begin to “add on 1” with addition . “Plus” and “equal” are new words in addition. The students will make
“o’clock” recognition and demonstrations.. We are learning the song: “O’Clock”.
Counting to 69 and filling in the missing numbers will be part of the evaluation this week.
In Skill Development we will practice tying the shoes laces, experiment with magnets and securing the left and right
directions. The opposites “hot/cold” and “open/closed” will be reviewed.

party last Friday! Yummy!
Wow! Thank you for your generous giving! We filled 3 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in class last week! Each student wrote a note to include in the boxes and we prayed for our boxes in class. And some families brought in additional shoeboxes this week. Thank you for sharing God’s love with children around the world! Please continue to log the number of minutes your child reads on the November Reading Calendar.
We will be choosing our speeches for the speech contest sometime this week. Students will be memorizing
either a Bible passage, a poem, or a fable.
We were able to complete two shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We did a box for a boy and one
for a girl! Thank you to all who helped fill our boxes!
In Bible class this week we are learning about David. This week we will see how David faces the gi
ant. Our Bible verse is Psalm 105:1: “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among
the nations what he has done.” We will recite this verse on Friday. We will also have spelling test

Did you know that an average sized pumpkin takes between 90 and 120
days to grow and has about 500 seeds?
Did you know that the yellow and orange colors you see in leaves always
exist, but they are overpowered by the abundance of
green from chlorophyll?
The amount of chlorophyll starts to decrease as the sun weakens
and the days grow shorter.
Red and purple leaves are only that color because
of the presence of sugars and sap that are
trapped within the leaves.
These sugars provide plants with the energy they need to survive.
What an awesome Creator-Designer God is!
