    LIGHTNING ARRESTER COMISSIONING

    Check that erection work is complete as per relevant drawings and erectioncompletion certificate is available.

    Check that no physical damage is apparent The insulator is clean The pressure relief device is ok The bolts-nuts & terminal etc. are tight No stain on corona rings The discharge counter advancement check Meggering tests are ok Insulation Resistance check for individual stack Resistance of ground connection

    Leakage current test Note down initial counter reading during testing and before charging. Earthing to Surge Arrester is to be insulated from the structure.
