Page 7: PD 2- week 1

Individual assessment (30%):Individual based work relates to your

career and employment goals. Block teaching content is specific to this task. The individual assessment is due week 9.

Using Pebblepad individual students develop a ‘webfolio’ which shows a visual display of professionalism, skills, experience, and aspirations.

Webfolios can be a useful extension of a resume /CV and are able to be accessed by including a weblink .

Page 8: PD 2- week 1

Example Student WebfolioStudents create a webfolio cover-page to

introduce themselves to potential employers...

The side bar is used to navigate the webfolio.

Page 9: PD 2- week 1

Example Student WebfolioStudents explain three (3) examples of PAST

evidence to support their aspirations. Evidence relates to academic, co-curricula, and personal experiences.

Graphics and ‘links’ are added to provide a visual display of evidence.

Page 14: PD 2- week 1

PD2 team assessments:1.Prepare a written business concept

proposal with a clear element of CSR

(2A = 15%).

2.Present and ‘pitch’ the proposal to the

‘business decision maker’ (2B = 10%).

3.Present 5 x ‘oral updates’ relating to the research and preparation of the proposal and plan (3A = 20%).

4.Based on the proposal, prepare a written plan to implement the project (3B = 25%).

Page 15: PD 2- week 1

In PD2, the project work is completed as team-based assessments. In WEEK 1, your project teams are

formed and the team commences work on the project.

The first assessable ‘oral update’ is in week 3.

100% attendance and active participation in project team meetings in seminars IS A MUST to successfully develop the team proposal and plan.

Page 16: PD 2- week 1

Other lecturers are commonly invited to attend proposal presentations. Within the hypothetical scenario -prepare

assessments with an ‘industry audience’ in mind.

Use the ‘workshop environment’ to practice:

Useful skills and knowledge

Networking

Working on industry-based projects
