PDEA NOPO Arrests 7, Dismantles Drug Den in Bacolod City
Agents from PDEA Negros Occidental Provincial Office conducted a buy-bust operation, May 3, 2019 at
around 4:30 PM at Sitio Sibucao, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental which resulted to the dismantling of a drug den and the arrests of Frullan Babila Cui alias "Lanlan”, Jemar Elisan Balcero, Jomari Manzanares Gayares, Martin Asin Gomez, Deither Castro Trecho, Ramil Tribeles Gomez and Ramuel Miranda Lopez.
Confiscated during the said operation were five (5) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing MOL 15 grams with an estimated market value of one hundred two thousand (Php102,000.00) pesos, improvised tooter and the buy-bust money, among others.
Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
2 Pushers Nabbed in Joint PNP-PDEA Drug Bust in Kalibo
At 12:55 of May 18, 2019, joint operatives from the Aklan Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Kalibo Municipal Police Station, Aklan Provincial Intel Branch, Highway Patrol Group and PDEA Aklan Provincial Office conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Poblacion Kalibo, Aklan.
Jonathan Baltazar Namayan alias "Atan" and Errol Lascano Eugenio were arrested and MOL 1 gram of suspected shabu were seized.
Cases for violation of Section 5 and Section 26 paragraph B, in relation to Section 5, Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing in court against the two suspects.
At around 4:55 PM , May 21, 2019, operatives from the Capiz Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Intel Section (CPPO-PDEU/PIS) and agents from the PDEA-Capiz Provincial Office conducted joint buy-bust operation at Brgy. Inzo, Roxas City, Capiz.
Johnar Navita Cadiz, a resident of Brgy. Bonga, Panay, Capiz was caught during the said drug-bust where two (2) pieces plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing MOL 1 gram, two (2) pieces Php500.00 buy-bust money, one (1) unit cellular phone and one (1) black wallet were seized from the suspect.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed in court.
Joint Elements of the New Washington Municipal Police Station led by PCapt Cyril Punsalan and PDEA-Aklan Provincial Office led by IO II Romy G. Alcantara and under the direct supervision of IA V Christina D. Cabatingan, conducted buy-bust operation at around 5:40 PM, May 22, 2019, at Brgy. Polo, New Washington, Aklan.
The PNP-PDEA drug bust resulted to the arrests of Darwin Dela Cruz and Jessie Jem Batoleño and the seizure of MOL 5 grams of suspected marijuana dried leaves.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed in court against the two suspects.
Joint elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU VI), Iloilo City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) and the PDEA-Iloilo Provincial Office conducted buy-bust operation at Sitio Pangpang Guinobatan, Leganes, Iloilo last May 25,2019 at about 10:30 PM which resulted to the arrest of Lennen Jinon Guillergan as well as the confiscation of more or less 1 gram of suspected shabu. Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002 will be ffiled in court against Guillergan.
Joint PNP-PDEA Team Pins Down 2 Suspects in Arevalo
Joint elements of the PDEA-Iloilo City Team and the Iloilo City Police Station 6 Special Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPS6-SDET) conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Yulo Drive, Arevalo, Iloilo City, May 28, 2019 at about 3:00 AM.
Charlton Eric Tayson Salcedo and Tristan Rey Gellor Caños were arrested and seized from their possession were more or less 2 grams of suspected shabu.
Cases for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002 will be filed in court against the two suspects.
At almost 7:00 PM last May 29, 2019, operatives from the Capiz Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit / Provincial Intel Section (CPPO-PDEU/PIS) and agents from PDEA-Capiz Provincial Office conducted joint buy-bust operation at Brgy. Tanque, Roxas City, Capiz.
The said drug bust led to the arrest of Markhiz Bautista Reguire (drug surrenderee) 22 years old and a resident of Brgy. Dayao, Roxas City, Capiz.
Seized from him were two (2) plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.04 grams, two (2) pieces Php500 peso bill used as buy-bust money and one (1) unit cellular phone.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed in court.
PDEA 6 OPLAN LINIS PIITAN 200 Inmates Test Negative During Drug Test in Jaro District Jail
At around 5:30 AM, May 3, 2019, the PDEA RO-VI Interdiction Team and K9 Unit together with the BJMP and PNP conducted Search and Seizure Operation and Random Drug Testing at the Iloilo City District Jail Male Dormitory located at Ungka, Jaro, Iloilo.
200 persons of persons deprived of liberty (PDLSs) out of 983 were picked in random for the surprise drug test.
Accordingly, none of them tested positive for illegal drug use and no drugs were seized during the greyhound operation.
At around 7:00 AM yesterday May 4, 2019, joint elements of PDEA Interdiction Team and K9 Unit, Pototan PNP and the BJMP conducted surprise search and seizure operation at Iloilo District Jail-Female Dorm.
30 persons deprived with liberty (PDLs) were also randomly selected and were subjected to drug test.
Meanwhile at 7:30 AM of the same date, other members of the same team conducted a parallel surprise search and seizure operation at the Iloilo District Jail Male Dorm.
348 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) were also randomly selected and subjected to drug test.
No drugs were detected nor seized during the said two operations and none tested positive during the said random drug testing conducted.
116 Inmates All Test Negative in Negros Occidental Jail Facilities
With the Province-wide Greyhound Operations about to conclude, almost 600 inmates were searched by joint operatives from the PDEA Negros Occidental Provincial Office (PDEA-NOPO), BJMP and PNP in Negros Occidental.
At around 6:30 AM of May 22, 2019, PDEA-NOPO, together with the BJMP and San Carlos PNP conducted Greyhound Operation at San Carlos City Jail, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, where 44 out of 220 inmates were subjected to random drug testing.
On the same date, at around 12:00 noon, the same team now with the Escalante PNP conducted search and seizure operation at the Escalante City Jail, located at Escalante City Negros Occidental.
Out of 50 inmates, 10 were picked at random to undergo the surprise drug tests.
By 2:25 PM of the same date, the PDEA-NOPO and BJMP this time with the Sagay PNP conducted Greyhound Operation at Sagay City Jail, Brgy Rizal Sagay City, where 24 out of 119 inmates were subjected to the random drug testing.
Lastly, at around 3:00 PM of the same date, the same team with the Cadiz PNP conducted Greyhound Operation at Cadiz City Jail, Cabahug Street, Cadiz City, where 38 out of 189 were chosen in random to undergo the surprise drug tests.
A total of 116 inmates all tested negative during the random drug testing conducted and no drugs were seized nor detected during the said Greyhound Operations.
144 Tests Negative During Oplan Harabas in Iloilo City
At around 6:00 AM, May 16, 2019, the PDEA RO VI led by Investigation Agent V Alex M. Tablate, Officer-in-Charge for Western Visayas, spearheaded the implementation of OPLAN HARABAS in coordination with the PNP, LTO, LTFRB, DOH and the ILOILO LGU.
The Laboratory Section of PDEA RO6, assisted by PDEA Agents and other personnel from the participating agencies, led the conduct of Random Drug Testing.
Meanwhile, the Interdiction and K9 unit spearheaded the paneling and inspection at Parola Ferry Terminal, Muelle Loney St., Brgy. Concepcion Iloilo.
A total of 10 jeepney drivers, 17 taxi drivers, 3 truck drivers, 14 tricycle drivers and 1 dispatcher in the area were randomly selected to undergo the surprise drug tests.
8:00 AM: The same team conducted Random Drug Testing, paneling and distribution of PDEA Komiks at Ortiz Wharf Terminal located at Brgy. Ortiz, City Proper Iloilo. 14 taxi drivers and 6 tricycle drivers were randomly selected for the surprise drug tests.
8:40 AM: The same team conducted Random Drug Testing, paneling and distribution of PDEA Komiks at the Iloilo Terminal Market, Mabini St., Iloilo City, where 8 jeepney drivers, 7 truck drivers, 15 tricycle drivers were subjected to the surprise random drug tests.
10:30 AM: The same team conducted Random Drug Testing at PPA Commercial Port Complex, Brgy. Loboc, Lapuz, Iloilo City, where surprise drug tests among 30 truck drivers were conducted.
12:52 PM: The same team conducted Random Drug Testing and distribution of PDEA Komiks at Hibao-an Terminal, Brgy. Hibao-an Norte, Mandurriao, Iloilo, where 19 jeepney drivers underwent the surprise drug tests.
A total of 144 drivers tested negative during the said Oplan.
The said Oplan is in line with the directive of the Director General, PDEA to ensure road safety by conducting surprise random drug tests among drivers of jeepneys, taxis and UV Express nationwide.
BALAY SILANGAN Balay Silangan Surrenderers Successfully Finish TCMP-SPECS Sessions of the BJMP
Passi City: Last May 24, 2019, PDEA RO-VI headed by Alex M. Tablate, Officer-in-Charge together with Gretchen Bo-peep G. Giner, focal person for Balay Silangan Program in Western Visayas, attended the closing ceremony of the Therapeutic Community Modality Program & Specialized Psychological and Emotional Component Sessions for People with Stimulant Use Disorders (TCMP-SPECS) conducted by the BJMP VI headed by J/SUPT Gilbert D. Peremne.
Among the attendees during the said program were Chief of Police and the Municipal Administrator of Calinog, Municipal Administrator of Passi and representatives from the MSWDOs and PNP from Pototan and San Enrique, Province of Iloilo.
The activity summarized the work output of the 4-day sessions of the BJMP followed by feed backing from the Balay Silangan representatives of the municipalities of Calinog, Pototan and San Enrique.
A response message was given by the OIC Tablate (PDEA and J/SUPT Peremne (BJMP).
The closing ceremony successfully ended by a tribute song "Salamat" from the pusher-surrenderers dedicating it for those who made the Balay Silangan Program possible, the facilitators and the lecturers and trainors (which includes PDEA,TESDA, DTI, BJMP, as well as pastors and priests of the community). Family members were also present in support of the Balay Silangan Clients.
The Balay Silangan Program which was initiated by the government led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seeks to build shelters, along with a promise of renewed life, for surrenderered drug personalities across the country.
51 Barangays in Iloilo City Undergo On-Site Validations
With the 15th Regional Oversight Committee set to deliberate in June or July this year, a total of 51 barangays in Iloilo City were already subjected to on-site validations from May 20 to 24, 2019, in line with their application in the Barangay Drug Clearing.
These on-site validations were conducted by a team of personnel coming from PDEA RO VI, City DILG, City Health Office, and the Police force from both the PRO 6 and Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) functionality, among other topics, were tackled whether or not they could be a potential candidate for the Barangay Drug Clearing deliberation or still needs to comply with other requirements.
19 Barangays in Maayon, Capiz undergo On-site Validation
Nineteen (19) barangays in the Municipality of Maayon, Capiz underwent on-site validation last May 15, 2019 in preparation for their application for barangay drug clearing.
The on-site validation was attended by the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), Maayon Municipal Police Station, Punong Barangays and Secretaries of the participating barangays in line with the upcoming Regional Oversight Committee deliberation tentatively schedule this June 2019.
SIDITG, PDEA Interdiction Team and K9 Unit Sweep Fast Craft Terminal & Dumangas Port
Routine and random inspections spearheaded by PDEA-VI operatives throughout the Region are continuous and on-going to effectively deter and discourage transient drug-peddlers from entering Western Visayas.
The PDEA RO-VI K9 Unit and Interdiction Team at around 10:45 AM last May 17, 2019 conducted random check at the Iloilo Fast Craft Terminal located at the New Iloilo Ferry Terminal Access Road, Lapuz, Iloilo City.
Newly assigned agents in Iloilo were brought along in order to familiarize them with the duties and responsibilities of the Seaport Interdiction Task Group.
At around 2:00 PM of the same date, the same team conducted paneling and inspections this time at the Dumangas Port located at Brgy Sapaw, Dumangas, Iloilo.
No drugs were seized nor detected during the random check among cargoes and passengers.
PDEA-Guimaras Safeguards Island during Manggahan Festival 2019
With the celebration of 2019 Manggahan Festival themed “Matam-is nga Kadalag-an: Manggahan Festival to the World” and the influx of both local and foreign tourists in and out of the island, the PDEA-Guimaras Provincial Office led by IA-III Jyxyvzcky G. Escrupolo together with the PDEA K9 Unit, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG-Guimaras) and Jordan Municipal Police Station conducted Random Check at Jordan Wharf, Jordan, Guimaras, Guimaras Provincial Capitol Grounds, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras and the Jordan RoRo Port, Jordan, Guimaras, as well as other areas in the island last May 18-19, 2019.
The security measures were undertaken in line with the activities during the month-long celebration which includes Mango Eat-All-You-Can, Bike and Sports Fest and Concerts.
The Manggahan Festival which ran from May 11, 2019 and is set to conclude on May 22, 2019, is an annual celebration in the island of Guimaras for continuing to bring the taste of their mangoes, not only to Iloilo and other parts of the country, but to the rest of the world.
