YOUNG AT HEARTRoyal Oak High School Reunion 2016

Dear Classmates We wish to express our appreciation to all of our fellow classmates who participated in our 2016 reunion. We are grateful to all of you who contributed your time and efforts to help us locate classmates, provide Royal Oak memorabilia, post Facebook photos and provide the enthusiasm to sustain the efforts and make the reunion a wonderful experience for those who were able to attend. This would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of Betty Williams and Wendy Wallin who transformed the banquet room at Cal Poly into Royal Oak. Kitty and Rob Wicks who organized and set up our Sunday picnic and Debbie Iketani, Dennis Pluta and Darrel Trost who hosted the Saturday golf tournament. Thankfully Pam Barrow seemed to know everybody and how to find them and her efforts in all she did helped make the reunion a success. We hope to see you all at the next reunion. It turned out to be a little bigger project than we anticipated. Nevertheless, it is here now and there are a few points to keep in mind. Because this is in PDF format we will be able to update this book on an annual basis until our next reunion which we anticipate will occur in the fall of 2021. If you would like to update your biography or you have information that would update our memorial section please direct that to our email address at [email protected] and we will edit and post for the annual update. Having a current email address from all of us will make the next reunion much easier to organize.

Guy Antle Class of '69

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: A shared story from Chris Antle. When we were younger Guy was in high school and apparently had some girl with him that he was making dinner for. I saw these two potatoes in the oven FOREVER. I thought maybe he'd forgotten about them so ate one and went back to my room. He came in with the other potatoe in hand and threw it at my head! Luckily I ducked and he missed me! Guy was very successful with his pool cleaning business. Best of all, when he started, he had no overhead or equip costs because the pool cleaning equipment was from our house. Unfortunately he passed away in 2015 from cancer.
