Advent
Loving God, as we enter this Advent season, we open all the dark places in our lives and memories to the healing light of Christ. Show us the creative power of hope. Prepare our hearts to be transformed by you, that we may walk in the light of Christ.

I. What is Peace?
"The tranquil state of a soul assured of its
salvation through Christ, and so fearing
nothing from God and content with its
earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is.”
Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon His shoulder. And
His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

17 In the kingdom of God, eating and drinking are not
important. The important things are living right
with God, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 Anyone who serves Christ by living this way is
pleasing God and will be accepted by other people.
