Prayer Upon Entering Father, we read of Your supernatural workings throughout the Bible and we’ve witnessed
it over the years as we’ve seen miracles of Your healing and saving power in the lives of
others. We’ve also experienced it personally as You’ve saved us from our sins and set us
on an eternal journey of giving praise and thanksgiving to You for all Your wondrous
works. When we lose sight of Your miraculous deeds in the daily grind of life and in the
circumstances that baffle or discourage us help us to remember that You are a God of the
impossible, nothing is too complex or broken that You cannot fix. You delight in us as
we put our hope in Your unfailing love and miraculous power. We give thanks to You
through Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen.
What is A Christian While we might consider ourselves relatively good the fact is we are naturally opposed to
God and His plan for our lives. This nature and the things we do because of this nature
result in “sin.”
But God loves us and has overcome sin for us. He did this by sending His Son, Jesus, to
bridge the gap created by sin. Now we are no longer separated from God because Jesus
has brought us back together: “God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not
counting their sins against them.” (II Corinthians 5: 19) The one who believes this is a
Christian.
The Lord’s Supper – If you are unable to approach the altar railing,
you are encouraged to sit at the front of the sanctuary on the left side.
The pastor(s) and elders will be pleased to commune you there.
There is non-alcoholic wine available in the glass communion cups
on the tray.

Growing in Wisdom and in Grace at GIP...
This week we looked at the parable of the Good Samaritan, based out of Luke 10:25-37. This lesson reinforces the importance of mercy and thinking of others first. We had classroom discussions on ways we may be merciful to others; reminding us that Jesus always shows us mercy through His continual forgiveness towards us. We learned that EVERYONE is our neighbor. Bible words: "We LOVE because He first LOVED us." 1 John 4:19 Activities: Explored Medical Supplies (Discussion of purpose, Science) Pairs of Helpers (Worked on projects together) More than Enough (Math, Sorting, Comparing)
