Peach auction

The first-place basket of peaches, grown by M&M Farms, was sold to the Chilton County Farmers Federation for $2,000.

The second-place basket of peaches, grown by Marvin Green, was sold to Peoples Southern Bank for $1,400.

The fourth-place basket of peaches, grown by Jerry Harrison, was sold to Chilton County Commissioner Heedy Hayes for $900.

The third-place basket of peaches, grown by Knight Farms, was sold to SunSouth Tractor for $1,100.

The fifth-place basket of peaches, grown by Patterson Farms, was sold to Clanton Tractor for $1,100.

Youth division: youth division winners in the Peach Cook-off were ashley Beth jones, first place for her Grilled Peach Cobbler; savannah swindle, second place for her Peach-Pecan Pie; and abbi Calhoun, third place for her Peach Pecan Crunch.

senior division: senior division winners were Vivian wallace, first place for her Peach Cake; Peggy Green, second place for her Perky Peach Chicken salad; and Beau Kendrick, third place for his smoky Peach Turnover.
