The experimentation of computer controlled machinery as a young adult is what has made Kristofer Laméy's method in design and fabrication unique today. With a keen understanding of the properties of the materials used in Laméy's work, his ability to express his vision by the use of computer aided drafting software and working knowledge of light as a medium has set Laméy's work apart. At the moment, Kristofer is exhibiting his work on the Garden Level of the Marquis II tower. In the lower lobby, he is using two separate spaces to showcase innovative, creative individuals that share their vision of Art, Industrial Design, and coming soon: Sustainable Architecture. Make an appointment by contacting him through his website at www.kristoferlamey.com and keep an eye out for a grow lab for spring and summer to be installed in the Garden Level space. Kristofer intends to share a perspective on the latest technology in growing vegetables in small spaces.

GREEN MARKET 2012 BEGINNING APRIL 19THGreen Market at Peachtree Center is making an official comeback on Thursdays in the Peachtree Center courtyard from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Beginning on April 19, 2012, this year’s Market is a little bigger and a little better with more vendors and more choices! This year, we are pleased to feature LefTeas, Organic Mountains Honey, King of Pops, H&F Bread, Abundant Harvest Gardens produce, and Antico Mercato Artisan Cheeses. With live music every week and new vendors being added to the line-up, we invite you to come by every Thursday through October and support your local farmers!

ATLANTA JAZZ FESTIVAL’S 31 DAYS OF JAZZ As part of the Atlanta Jazz Festival’s 31 Days of Jazz, Peachtree Center is hosting a Wednesday lunchtime jazz series during the month of May. Daniel Jackson Explosion! will perform on May 2nd, followed by Joe Gransden Quartet on the 9th, and Tommie Macon and the Gentle Men of Jazz on the 16th. On the 23rd we welcome the Northside Jazz Trio and closing out the series on May 30th is The Henley Varner Band. All concerts will be held in the Mall from 11:45am and 1:45pm.

SUMMER COURTYARD CONCERTSBeginning on May 4, 2012 Peachtree Center will be hosting a monthly lunchtime Summer Concert Series in the Courtyard! More details to come, but mark your calendars for the first Friday of the month through September!

MEET A PEACHTREE CENTER TEAM MEMBERRHODA CAMBELL If you want to make sure something gets done and gets done promptly, you can rely on Rhoda Cambell. Rhoda has worked at Peachtree Center since 1991. Now under Executive Management Services (EMS), Rhoda is the Director of Housekeeping managing the mall and the courtyard. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Atlanta to join relatives and attended GA State. Rhoda spends her mornings and afternoons at Peachtree Center and works evenings at Clark Atlanta University. Her favorite part of working at Peachtree Center is meeting the different tenants and people from all the different conventions. Rhoda values the friendliness and hospitality of Atlanta; however, she could live without the heat! Rhoda and her husband are proud members of their church, Belula Baptist Church, and focus their time on community service.

BETTER BUILDING CHALLENGEPeachtree Center is taking the Better Buildings Challenge! The Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge began with buildings in the Downtown Central Business District including the

Atlanta Civic Center and other municipal facilities. The goal of the challenge is to improve participating buildings’ energy and water performance to add to the goal of helping businesses overall to save $40 billion annually in energy costs, ultimately creating more American jobs. Atlanta is proud to be one of the first cities to take the challenge alongside Seattle and Los Angeles, and Peachtree Center is thrilled to participate.

STREETSCAPECentral Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District are pleased to announce that construction began the week of March 12, 2012 on the planned streetscape improvement project along Peachtree Street between John Portman Blvd aka Historic Harris Street and Andrew Young International. The project will install in-ground and above ground planters, decorative fencing, trees, landscaping and repair any damaged sidewalk areas. Funding for this project is provided by the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District.

INTRODUCING DOWNTOWN GREEN SOURCE! Downtown Green Source is a program initiated by Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) with funding from the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID). Expanding upon the work of the Downtown Transportation Management (TMA), the Downtown Green Source provides connections, resources and education to enhance environmental sustainability in Downtown Atlanta. Through resource sharing and collaboration with other organizations, this program will promote improvements in the areas of:
