Within the healthcare network of United Eastern Medical Services, Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery
services are offered at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, HealthPlus Children's
Specialty Center, HealthPlus Family Health Center - Al Bandar and Moorfields Eye Hospital
Abu Dhabi. Our pediatric medical team consists of more than 40 pediatric consultants and specialists
throughout our network.

Pediatric and Family Dentistry
One of only two private Pediatric Intensive Care Units in Abu Dhabi, this unit specializes in the care of critically ill children less than 17 years of age. It includes intermediary care following major surgery, and covers all forms of acute illness.
This is provided within the hospital in acute care settings for patients in need for mechanical support with breathing.
At Danat Al Emarat, our pediatric intensive care unit provides acute pediatric intensive care to non-trauma medical and surgical cases.
Pediatric surgery division at Danat Al Emarat is fully equipped to treat surgical problems from the newborn stage through adolescent. The surgical services include treatment for:
• Congenital birth defects (neonatal surgeries)• Thoracic disorders• Abdominal disorders and• Urological disorders

Neonatology
Our 20-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is led by internationally renowned consultants. If a baby is born too early or has fallen ill soon after birth, our caring Neonatologists are available 24/7.
Following international protocols, the baby will first be examined with the mother, and then followed up at the outpatient clinics. However, others may need to be admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) when support with breathing, and nutrition is needed with the use of specialized equipment like function monitoring machines and body cooling equipment.
