Some of our Kindergarten and first grade mu-

sic classes have been working with Nanette

Ledet, an accomplished artist educator from

the JPAS Cultural Crossroads program. This or-

ganization is dedicated to arts education and

cultural enrichment. JPAS Cultural Crossroads

has been integrating the arts with academic

subjects for 16 years. This opportunity is a result

of a partnership between JPAS and the 25th Judicial Court, Dept. of

Youth and Family Services, and Families in Need of Services. Mrs. Nan-

ette will be integrating math objectives with instruction using percussion

instruments over the next few weeks during music enrichment.

Students who sold chocolate were treated to a

great show by Lone Star Action Sports. The riders

from Lone Star did tricks on bikes and roller blades.

Highlights were a bike jump over 4 students and a

roller blade flip over Mr. Weaver!
