The Club may reach out to you to obtain more information, if needed.

I like telling and listening to stories. My story, thus far, has brought me here as your General Manager, and now I am part of The Penn Club's story. It has often been said that the happiest people are the most grateful. I am very grateful for this opportunity to be your General Manager, and I can’t be happier. My entire career has been spent in hospitality. I've been extremely lucky to have worked in so many varied aspects of this industry — starting with hotels, then moving to restaurants. I was running the food & beverage operations at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store here in Manhattan. Later, I was involved in managing a golf course and most recently, managing a private club. With all of these experiences, the one common denominator for me is establishing a connection: a connection with the staff, with the people we serve, and with the physical facility. The strong connection with the membership is what drew me into the private club industry. In the last three weeks, as I pen this before going to press, the connection with the membership is one of the things that has struck me here. I met a member who frequents the Club, and he made it a point to stress upon the wonderful staff I work with. The members’ connection with the staff is amazing. Many staff members have been here from day one, and there are many wonderful stories there.

On the note of new beginnings, what an exciting year we have planned in celebration of our twentieth

anniversary! We are busy planning special events with amazing guests. We'll be sure to keep everyone posted. Please make it a point to join us.

I had the privilege of attending my first Robert Burns dinner held on January 24th. I particularly enjoyed the warmth and camaraderie of the attendees, presenters and staff. It was a true moment of community, and a shining example of what a private club stands for. I hope that you will mark your calendars now, for this not-to-be missed night of delicious food, drink, poetry, music and pure enjoyment at next year’s Burns supper.

With spring around the corner, it’s a good time to take stock of what truly nourishes us in our day-to-day lives. The Penn Club has the capacity to provide us with experiences on several levels. Our award winning home in New York, our worldwide reciprocal relationships, and our ongoing connection to Penn bring value and enjoyment to all our lives. Membership at the Penn Club is one of those experiences that sustains us throughout the year.

I look forward to meeting many of you as you visit the Club. Please share with me any comments or stories you might have. As your home away from home, remember we are a great venue to host your private or corporate events. Our special events team is eager to put together an event that won't be soon forgotten.
