PEBS Pennar uses the Double-Lok® Standing Seam Panel System, a well-proven
solution for metal roofs (This time-tested world-class standing seam technology
has been developed by MBCI, a division of NCI Group Inc., USA)
With billions of square metres of sheets already installed worldwide, this system
has built a track record of being the most reliable leak-proof roofing system
With its assured weather tightness advantages, this system is the best choice
for a roofing system in India
Double-Lok® Standing Seam System with mobile site roll former - facilitates
single roll formed sheet from ridge to eave with no end laps in between
Double-Lok® System benefits
Reduces the risk of leakage
System versatility facilitates thermal expansion and contraction of the
panel without any damage
UL 90 rating
Tested by Factory Mutual Research Corporation for wind uplift, fire and hail damage
Qualifies for use in several UL design assemblies and carries a UL "Class A" Fire Rating
Simple and flexible
Easy to install
Durable
Avoids panel end laps by providing single length panel from peak to eave
Superior Cladding Fasteners
Usage of self-drilling screws conforming to AS 3566-2002, Class - 3
Premium high-corrosion resistant screws along with their bonded EPDM seals
form the best fastener system
Bead Mastic for roofing side and end laps
Usage of bead mastic in all roof panel side and end laps
Bead mastic, when installed properly, provides the best guarantee against roof leaks
Not all PEB manufacturers in this region use this technique
Roll-formed Downspouts
Usage of roll-formed downspouts with longitudinal full length corrugations,
which are very aesthetic
These downspouts can be supplied in one piece for any length up to 12 M,
to reduce number of field joints
The common press-broken downspouts are dull looking and spoil the appearance
Valley Gutters
Supply of valley gutters of 1.5mm thickness in maximum possible lengths of up to 6 M,
so as to reduce the number of joints
They are painted with one coat of epoxy primer to the exposed face of the valley gutter
providing years of corrosion-free surface
Designed to avoid leakages

Design Philosophy
At PEBS Pennar, designs are up-to-the-minute - aesthetically and environmentally.
They are created keeping in mind both Indian and International design codes.
Traditionally, all PEB designs follow US design codes as the concept was originally
formulated there. These codes, thanks to incessant research-based upgradations, are
acknowledged to be the most comprehensive and technically advanced in the world,
and offer an intelligent blend of design strength and product cost.
PEBS Pennar can also offer buildings designed to IS codes in addition
to international codes.

Shapoorji Pallonji & Co Ltd
PEBS Pennar, a prime player in the
pre fabricated metal buildings sector has
been the preferred choice for many of the
customers across various sectors.
The company believes in the cause for a
green future and acts as a catalyst for a
revolution for attaining sustainable goals.
Buildings fabricated by PEBS Pennar have
some innate features that make them
green to a large extent.
PEBS Pennar the pioneer in the pre
engineered buildings sector in India, offers
comprehensive solutions for LEED
compliance. Our design and methodologies
enable customers to get substantive LEED
points that contribute to the rating of a
building as green.
A has characteristics that reduce its GREEN BUILDING
environmental impact during its life cycle - from
construction all the way through to the end of the
building's useful life. These green building
characteristics are measured against three criteria:
Environmental: The impact the building will have
today and in the future when considering factors as
energy useage, efficient use of space, recyclability,
materials used for construction, all in an effort to
conserve natural resources.
Economic: Lowering operating costs, enhancing
asset value, improving productivity, as well as
optimizing lifecycle performance.
Health & Community: Improvement of air quality,
occupant comfort, and overall health conditions.
Steel - the Green Metal:
Steel is the basic material that is used in the construction of a pre engineered building. It
negates the harmful effects associated with concrete and cement. Steel used by Pebs
Pennar for any building can be 100 % recycled in the future, after the building has lived
its life. Steel also lowers the life cycle cost as it is easier to maintain.
Heat Island Effect:
PEBS Pennar uses metal roof panels that have high solar reflectance index (SRI). This
helps in reducing the energy consumption and the heat island effect.
Insulated Metal Panels:
PEBS Pennar offers effective insulation solutions for both the roof and walls. The panels
have a superior R value that will contribute towards greater thermal and energy
efficiency
SkyLights:
SkyLights help in ushering natural light into the building. This ensures minimum or
negligible usage of artificial lighting thus contributing towards lesser emissions.
Regional Materials Usage:
Materials that are used by PEBS Pennar are procured from regional sources. This helps to
cut costs & emissions on transportation & logistics.
Innovation & Design:
The pre engineered buildings fabricated by PEBS Pennar use appropriate software,
which ensure that resources are optimized.
Long bay Spacing:
PEBS Pennar offers long bay spacing that will help in reducing the number of footings
for any site. This technique ensures that civil work is reduced, usage of materials is
optimized thus maintaining the ecological balance.
Renewable Energy Options:
PEBS Pennar efficient leak proof Double Lok roofing system enables the installation of
solar panels on the roof top. Solar power helps customers in meeting their power
requirements, reducing the emissions and in the process be eligible for carbon credits
under CDM.

Climate change, Sustainability and Green have become the most ubiquitous words. The demand for
environmentally-friendly, or green, construction solutions has increased in recent times. People across
various sectors are concerned with sustainable goals.
It has been widely acknowledged that buildings consume a major portion of materials, resources and
energy, thus contributing directly or indirectly to the environmental maladies. Therefore the paradigm of
green buildings has been evolved to counter the malignant effects on the environment.
